At Last!!
You all know my problem. So in a nutshell I have bladder cancer and my treatment has been stopped 3 times = last one being because a 6mm was seen on my lung with a CT Scan. My MDT sent the details to the lung people and stopped my BC treatment, well it had not started, I got a phone call in week

Son battled through again.
Hi all, been another difficult couple of weeks. Unfortunately when care home nurse did routine catheter change nearly two weeks ago she made an error. Instead of inserting catheter through into bladder it was forced through to the side outside the bladder creating what is known as ‘a false passage’.

One cancer apparently not enough!
I had a really good result from PSMA-PET scan in November 2022. PSA had bottomed out to 0.04 over six months. But PSMA did indicate one slight met on L4. January 2023, PSA had risen to 1.9. I elected to have targeted radiation to the L4. No complications or side effects, but two weeks after the

Long haul flight uk to Vancouver
I fly out to Vancouver at 2.00 pm so I can take my usual two doses of Gabapentin on the flight, I will land at about 4.00 pm Canadian time. Any suggestions to how I can manage the time change would be very welcome. The thought of jet lag combined with out of control RLS is frightening. I tried to discuss

does anyone have interstitial cystitis?
I have been experiencing pain when peeing for coming up to a year now. I have got my urine tested probably over 8 times over the past year. Every time it comes back clear, or they tell me to take an antibiotic and then send my urine off to the lab but then it comes back normal. I feel a ripping, burning

New Oncologist recommending Pylarify PET scan. Good idea or not?
My PSA has been undetectable for 2 and 1/2 years. My Oncologist abruptly left Florida Cancer Specialists. The new Oncologist is suggesting a Pylarify PET scan for PSMA. My last Axumin scan in 2020 showed PC in multiple lower abdominal and bilateral pelvic lymph nodes and prostate. Is this scan a good

Gemzar+ Oxaliplatine regimen
Hi Ladies, I've had 2 infusions of Gemzar+ Oxaliplatine (4-th line of treatment) and for the first time I've developped a huge adverse effects : hemotoxicity. One more of side effects is fever (38C) the next day after the IV. The first time I've ignored it, and fever went away within 24 hours, but

Levothyroxine and Cellulite
I am 64 years old and was put on Levothyroxine for hypothyroidism about 3 yrs ago and I have noticed that my cellulite in these past few years, has literally tripled and is now on my upper arms, calves and stomach, in addition to my thighs. I’m considered 10 lbs overweight. I’ve always had some cellulite

Diagnosis of Sigmoid volvulus 3 weeks ago and an emergency operation via colon righted it temporarily.
I am recovering slowly from the shock of the above diagnosis. The surgeon said he will have to do a major abdominal operation (which he is reluctant to do whilst I am on Prednisolone, I was on 6 mg 3 weeks ago but now on 5mg) as healing and infection could be post operative problems. So I saw my Rheumatologist

Nerve Blocks
Does anyone have experience of having a nerve block (specifically saphenous nerve in the leg)? I have tried most treatments for chronic pain but wondered about the nerve block direct to the troubled nerve. thanks
