I am 64 years old and was put on Levothyroxine for hypothyroidism about 3 yrs ago and I have noticed that my cellulite in these past few years, has literally tripled and is now on my upper arms, calves and stomach, in addition to my thighs. I’m considered 10 lbs overweight. I’ve always had some cellulite but nothing like this. I have what is considered severe cellulite so badly I can’t wear shorts much less a swimsuit of any kind. Has anyone else experienced this after being put on thyroid medication, namely Levothyroxine? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Levothyroxine and Cellulite
His it sore too? It might be mucin which is a hypo symptom. Mine is affecting my lower legs and tops of arms.
Could be your dose isn’t quite high enough.
If you search mucin in the search bar there have been a lot of charts about it 🌱🦋🌱
Are you based in U.K. or elsewhere
You need full thyroid and vitamin testing
Add any results and ranges if you have them
ALWAYS test thyroid levels early morning and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
Levothyroxine isn’t a medication it’s a replacement thyroid hormone
Dose often needs fine tuning. Important to be taking enough and different brands often not interchangeable
Essential to maintain GOOD vitamin levels on levothyroxine too
How much levothyroxine are you currently taking
I’m in the USA in Texas. I’m on 125 mcg once daily. I’m not sure of my levels. I’m due to go back next month ( they schedule me to come in once every 6 months) to draw blood and check my levels. I’m currently taking Centrum Silver 50+ for Women which is a multi vitamin but nothing else. Also I have recently noticed the cellulite lumps are becoming sore to the touch. I have a massage chair that I use for my calves to try and help the blood flow. What are your thoughts? Thanks
