Nefopam is evil....🤢
Hello After trying my best to fight my daily pain with paracetamol, I’ve finally had to give in and ask my GP for some help. I’ve also been prescribed some meds for anxiety too but I’ve only started today...that goes for the nefopam too. So...the prescribed dosage for the nefopam is 2 30mg tablets

Just trying to get my head around the possibility that the screaming continuous tinnitus in my right ear is caused by 'Boris' ( I've named the tumor) and that the 'treatment' recommended is watch and wait, rescan in 6 months. It's 15mm at first scan. Anyone had useful treatment for the symptoms of tinnitus

Tinnitus and Hypothyroidism
Hi everyone. Wonder if any of you suffer from tinnitus as I do and is it linked to hypothyroidism? It never goes away and the ringing is driving me mad. I have trouble hearing conversation and TV. I get quite panicky about it. I've been to an ear specialist at Guys and had tests and also been to the

Eye pain 3 days after Lucentis
So had my injection on Thursday pm and felt pain on leaving hospital but used to some discomfort. Felt sore and gritty so have been using hypromellose eye drops. Gritty feeling has gone but still feeling sore today, no redness though. Just called on call ophthalmologist who said I may have been scratched

7.5 years post-BM still in dreadful head pain. Vision & hearing now fine, but debilitating severe pain in head. Any suggestions please?
I feel very low at times with the terrible pain that prevents me from doing so many things. Can't drive (I have to lie in the back of a car if I need to go anywhere), can't listen to music or go anywhere lively as noise is terrible for my head. Can now walk again and even go running on better days, but

Out of nowhere: scary vertigo!
Morning everyone. Non lung enquiry. On Wednesday I woke up to the room spinning. Massively worse than anything experienced when I used to have hangovers years ago (drink nothing now). Then throughout the day I got sudden episodes where my head went crazy with a rushing visual thing which felt like

Ear Wax Removal
I always get ear wax that needs removing every 2 or 3 years via syringing. I am currently using Olive Oil as a treatment in view of COVID. Any recommendations as to whether Bicarbonate or Peroxide off the shelf treatments are any better?

Thyroid question
Thyroid question I got tinnitus in one ear from micro suction for ear wax removal and I the other ear from using Otomize ear drops. Both things occurred in a couple of days. I have heard about the thyroid causing tinnitus problems. Do you think my thyroid could be involved also or am I complicating

Loss of Taste??
Before I was diagnosed in December but had been suffering with jaw/shoulder pain since Oct, my taste buds stopped working. Smell is still okay. Some days I think it is improving, then next day things taste sour/sweet/bitter. Just curious if others have experienced this. Think GCA was lurking but not

5 Day Spike
Hi Everyone, At the moment I am 5 days in a bad Tinnitus spike and not getting any quieter, everything I try, breathing exercise, going for a walk, diy, music masking, etc, nothing will make it better. No stress, no health issues, never had a bad spike for more than 5 days, no point in contacting GP

sudden onset ear fullness and hearing loss
Hi everyone, having a bit of a panic and would like to ask your advice. I'm 52 and have had tinnitus in my left ear for many years. I have noticed over the last few months that I think its starting in my right ear also (hard to tell sometimes). However today I get up feeling fine and then at lunchtime

When others don't undertsnd
I was undiagnosed for 20 years. I knew I was ill, properly ill. With something. And yet I was still naive enough in those days to believe that the doctors must be right and that I was imaging myself to have 'all sorts of dire medical conditions' as my spring chicken of a GP, barely out of medical school

Tinnitus
Hi, has anyone had a problem with tinnitus whilst having PMR/GCA &/or on Prednisolone? I’m a long term sufferer but only very mildly but recently it’s been quite pronounced & I wondered if there was a connection. TIA

What causes Tinnitus?
I know it is generated by the brain but what actually is the cause? Stress, anxiety or the brain sending a warning any way it can that something is amiss with the body. I seem to get it more when I sit down to relax and particularly after I have had vertigo. I notice it increases with my computer use

Antibiotics safer for tinnitus
Hi all, I have tinnitus as a result of taking Naproxen three years ago, antibiotics (Metronidazole) have made the condition noticeably\considerably worst just after only 8 tablets of a course of 21, I stopped taking them immediately at that point but the damage was done. I am sure in my life I will

I’m still alive
Hi everyone, I hope you are having a good day as possible. Sorry for being MIA between taking care of my husband and work we had to have all the pipes replaced. Well got the pipes replaced and the sheet rock done. The painters come out Friday to paint and then the flooring is last to be done. The flooring

I've been researching info on detoxing to make it easier to increase BDNF and hence brain cells and am wondering if anyone has tried EDTA?
EDTA has been around since the 30s of last century. It was used primarily to chelate heavy metals and has some very interesting general health benefits such as cleaning plaque from arteries etc My thought was that maybe if arteries and blood vessels, particularly those in the brain were all nice and

Tinnitus in one ear. Worse at night?
I have Tinnitus in one ear. It sounds like whooshing and it is usually worse at night when I am trying to sleep. I have no pain or hearing loss. Why is this and what can I do?

Watering eyes
I use Cosopt and Monopost eye drops both preservative free. I am still having trouble with my eyes watering - a problem especially when driving. A pharmacist suggested I might have ‘dry eyes’ and recommended drops. Made no difference. Any ideas anyone?
