Time for a much needed giggle..
Hi lovely people I thought I’d give you a bit of a giggle and tell you about my morning... I finally plucked up the courage to go to a shopping centre by myself.. I’ve been finding it tough after major surgery resulting in a stoma... I decided to wear one of my wigs for a change. Well as I left my house

Protruding Partial external biliary drain stoma due to excessive coughing
My daughter has a PEBD (stoma) and it seems to be very protruded due to excessive coughing. I'm just wondering if it is normal. It has happened before but not as much as this. Thanks Stacey

Concerned mum
Hi, I'm probably not a usual user but I am fraught with worry. My daughter is 28 and has stage 4 endometriosis. She recently had perforated bowel due to investigations which resulted in sepsis. The endometriosis has grown through to her bowel and she now has a stoma. The plan is to remove as much endometriosis

Overthinking
Hello lovelies Hope you are all doing ok I have just returned from a wonderful holiday to Miami and the Bahamas with my fantastic husband Kevin, it was to celebrate his 60th which is today. We flew back overnight and I managed to embarrass him on the plane by getting an announcement to the whole plane

Never give up!
Three and a half years now and still all clear. Diagnosed with stage 3c, had debulking surgery and a stoma, 3 months chemotherapy and never looked back. I lost my gorgeous red curls, my husband of 38 years left me and my family home was sold. I live my life very differently now at 60 and am happier

Talking about blood...
Hi everybody, I must say this site is certainly a godsend when it comes to giving encouragement and inspiration. So thanks everybody who replies to worries, anxiety and concerns, especially those not fully addressed by GPs because of time restraints. The latest posts on blood are of particular interest

Help! Previous abdominal surgery causing issues with Hydrosalpinx removal options. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Hi, I'm new here, so let me share my story. This time last year I was diagnosed with a Hydrosalpinx after experiencing really bad pain during ovulation (often a week at a time), accompanied by what can only be described as "flooding" - fluid as thin as water (colourless, odourless) gushing out of me.

Second surgery in london
Hello everyone x Just thought I would share my experiences of second surgery because I know there are a couple of ladies ready for the same xx I was told in early December I had a 8-10cm recurrence on my bowel very close to the rectum and that I might be eligible for second surgery as the new data (although

Stoma worries
Hi all, Wondered if anyone could provide any reassurance? I am due to have my second lap on Friday to excise my recto vaginal endo. I’ve had a MRI and sigmoidoscopy and been told it hasn’t perforated my bowel and colorectal surgeon told me (quite dismissively) that I definitely won’t need a stoma as

NHS winter pressures!
Had CT scan from top to toe on 27th December with follow up appt. at end of January which seemed ages since I first saw consultant and now outpatient appts.have been rescheduled for end of February.I don’t think problems are a recurrence of the cancer for the sixth time, more likely adhesions or strictures

Battle lost
Christmas Day 2015 my husband complained of food and then drink getting ‘stuck’ After a visit to doctor and sent for endoscopy, biopsy, he was diagnosed with oesphogasus cancer. After 8 rounds of chemo had Ivor Lewis op with a view to a cure. The op didn’t go according to plan, complications and 4 ops

Living with bowel endo!
I just wanted to find out how others deal with the day to day management of bowel endo. I have stage 4 endo which affects my sigmoid colon. I have had a sigmoidoscopy and biopsy done which confirm this (and thankfully rules out any other causes) and two laparoscopies one in 2014 and one in October this
