Recto vaginal endo and stoma risk
Hi Ladies, I am currently debating whether or not to get surgery to treat recto vaginal endo. Could any of you tell me about your experiences, was it worth it? Did any of you have to have a stoma put it. The idea is really putting me off the surgery, but what are the chances you get it? Thank you!

Rectovaginal endo and surgery
Hi all I’ve been diagnosed with stage 4 rectovaginal endometriosis and am currently waiting an operation on 19th Sept to have it removed. I have been told that it will be a major operation (3 hrs) which could result in me having a temporary stoma. I was wondering if anyone else has this condition

Doing well with Bladder Cancer
I have written several times over the last couple of years. In Jan., 2016 a tumor in my right kidney was found to be papillary urothelial carcinoma (typically bladder cancer). My kidney was removed and few months later, I had tumors in my bladder and prostate. Those organs were removed, they created

Parastomal Hernia Repair
I have a medium to large parastomal hernia which has been causing partial blockages and pain. I have decided to have a parastomal hernia repair and booked a date for the operation. I just wish to know what the after effects are. Does the stoma get smaller and cause leakages. Do I get pain in the long

Stoma
Has anyone had to have a stoma due to endometriosis getting in the bowel? I had it confirmed last week that I would have to have this procedure. Hopefully it's only for 6-9 months. Feeling really scared and been really teary. I'm on hormone jabs and HRT ( 7 months so far )

Pain in cannula site after chemo
Hi, I’ve just had my first carbo/taxol chemo session yesterday. The cannula was causing me some pain in my right hand but the nurse flushed the site. It then began swelling after 2 and half hours so they removed it and put a new cannula in the left hand. I’ve been up during the night as the pain in

I’ve seen the surgeon today and am more scared than ever now.
I am in shock as I have just seen the surgeon who has told me that although he is going to operate on my ovarian cancer. It will be a full hysterectomy and debulking. He said that it’s in both ovaries, and very large and complex which is something my consultant has never said to me. He is willing to

Making it through debulking surgery. It's been tough but so far, so good 👍
Hello ladies. I joined this great community after diagnosis of stage 3c ovarian cancer in March this year. As a nurse I was petrified at the thought of going to theatre for debulking surgery, a possible stoma plus removal of any other bits. A little knowledge is a bad thing sometimes and I overanalysed

Unhelpful GP
I am new here but am hoping someone can advise me. My Mum is 89. Until Jan she lived fairly independently with me for support. Her memory was failing but otherwise in good health and hadn’t seen a GP for 5yrs. In Jan this year she developed a twisted bowel, now has a stoma. At the same time she had
