Calcium D3 Gummies
Hi all, I made a decision not to take any medication, Fosomax etc, for
osteopenia
, even though my doctor wanted me to start. All your feedback was very helpful in confirming my decision. I talked in length worh my pharmacist, who agreed wirh my decision and recommended D3 and Calcium to start.

Tamoxifen v Acid Reflux
I changed medication from anastrozole to tamoxifen last month to try to help slow my
osteopenia
, as I do not get on with bisphosphonates. Unfortunately it appears to have aggravated my hiatus hernia and my acid issues are occuring at night and other times ie not just with meals.

Osteoporosis treatment
I just had a routine bone density done and it resulted that I have
osteopenia
in my hips and osteoporosis in my spine. Doctor prescribed 2 Osteocare daily plus Bisphosphonate Acid once I have a bill of good dental health from the dentist. Anyone else on these meds? Thanking you in advance 😊

Years and years ago diagnosed with

hi I don’t have lupus but I did have
osteopenia
(One step away from osteoporosis.) I took Fosomax pills and it increased my bone density tremendously. I would suggest you ask your Dr about taking fosomax pills

Bisphosphonates
I had a DEX scan and have
osteopenia
. My doctor wants me to go on bisphosphonate. I have put if off while completing dental work. I have done a lot of research and I am very nervous about taking this drug because of the short and long term side effects.

PET Scan Results
I have
osteopenia
in that hip. I also walk a lot, 40 miles a week. Also, am I correct in assuming that an SUV 4.5 is a marginal reading and could be a false positive? Also, that hip aches after walking. Could that uptake be the result of inflammation and not cancer?

Question of the Week: Why did you start to run?
Oh, and my osteoporosis has now improved to
osteopenia
which is a real plus! So, what was it for you? How's it going so far with the program? What are the changes you're noticing? It's a wonderful thing to take on a new challenge especially if it's outside your comfort zone :)

My t score showed
osteopenia
for the average of the left hip. t-score or 2.8 for the femoral part of the hip and 2.7 for the lumbar spine. I am kind of in shock. Been having some chronic back and hip pain, but MRI showed nothing significant.

prostap and osteopenia
Apparently the bone density scan shows I have
osteopenia
due to the injection and I need to stop my prostap with immediate effect. Luckily I will only miss one before my lap so shouldn’t really effect my pain. I’m so annoyed though.

Getting adequate bone minerals without milk or yogurt
I'm 66 and have
osteopenia
. I took calcium and Vitamin D for many years because I've always hated milk and yogurt. I have some digestive problems now and can't take calcium. I try to eat green veggies, and I eat cheese, but I worry about my bones.

The speculum which holds your eye open was also very painful; I have
osteopenia
and I kept thinking that my eye socket was going to be damaged. The doctors were defensive when I talked about what I had experienced. I wasn't tryng to blame them; I just wanted them to know how patients feel.

alendronic acid
Hi I have had
Osteopenia
for several years. I also have Chron's Disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis as well as Hypothyroidism. My question is that following a Dexa Scan six weeks ago, and not having been told why, my GP, on the advice of Rheumatology, has issued Alendronic Acid 70mg once a week.
