Soy concerns
Hi, I have been focusing on the nutrition posts to improve my diet as I have
osteopenia
. I am reading a lot of posts and articles saying to incorporate soy. I stay away from soy because of breast cancer risks.

Osteopenia and travel insurance
A friend who also was diagnosed with
osteopenia
told me we have to declare it. I realise that if I were to break a bone on holiday the insurance company may not pay out if I don't declare.

Has anyone's Dexa score gotten better with meds or exercise/supplements?
My t score showed
osteopenia
for the average of the left hip. t-score or 2.8 for the femoral part of the hip and 2.7 for the lumbar spine. I am kind of in shock. Been having some chronic back and hip pain, but MRI showed nothing significant. Freaked out about the drugs.

My calcium level appears low within bone profile blood tests. Are these an accurate representation I wonder?

Helpful information on supplements
v=EbCkXckc0sw I have
osteopenia
and had been in steady decline for the last 6 years. The MD wanted me to start bisphosphonates, but I declined. I have been doing OsteoStrong for 2 years, yoga and supplementing and saw all 4 of my DEXA numbers improve. Trying to stay off the drugs!

Osteoporosis and Levothyroxine
My
osteopenia
has become osteoporosis! I have been supplementing with calcium and Vit D3/K2 for years. I have to make a routine GP appointment, no doubt that will take weeks. My TSH has always been on the low suppressed side.

Running and osteopenia
As a runner who has been recently diagnosed with
osteopenia
in the wake of a stress fracture, I would like to learn more about fracture risk and running volume, also whether I should be looking at different shoes.

Bone Health and Stairs Research
I'm researching this area for a master's dissertation spurred on by my own
osteopenia
. I would be very grateful if you could complete my survey. It doesn't matter where you come from, you just need to be female over 49. And please forward it to your friends! Thank you.

My MPN family need help/advice for natural way to treat minor Osteoporosis.
I recently had a Dexa Scan and result is minor of Osteoporosis I guess that would be
Osteopenia
. Suggestion is by my GP to take Alendronic Acid, which after reading information about it raised many questions.

Iron Deficiency and Iron Deficiency Anemia: Potential Risk Factors in Bone Loss
Members are likely all too familiar with patients being told that they are suffering
osteopenia
or osteoporosis due to having too much thyroid hormone. And, especially, too much T3.

Acid Reflux and taking Pantoprazole 20mg
I also have been diagnosed with
Osteopenia
so I want to get off Pantoprazole for this reason. It's been at least 3 months that I've been on this drug - I get diarrhea from time to time too. Any advice would really be appreciated. My Dr. Said to go off of the Pantoprazole but I haven't yet.

Recent osteopenia diagnosis looking for good supplements
Hi recently diagnosed with
osteopenia
though I have been on long term thyroid medication (levothyroxine).I understand I need to take vit D3 with vit K2 plus magnesium which I do alongside a good multi B vitamin but I should also take boron and strontium. I have found this supplement.

Consequently, they probably won't restart my quarterly Xgeva (bisphosphenate) shot, so my

and crumbling spinal vertebrae will do what?

Completely lost
I’m 72 & in general good health (I think) except for
Osteopenia
and that I inherited Restless Legs from my mum. I started on .25mg Ropinirole 7 years ago which was like magic but it’s slowly increased to 3x.25mg per night.
