The -1.5 and the -1.4 results I presume are T scores in the
osteopenia
range but what about the two figures either side of the minus figures? Could they be Z scores? I would be grateful if anyone knows. Many thanks.

Thoughts on Denosumab in my case
Bone density normal in spine,
osteopenia
in right hip and osteoporosis on one part of left hip. I am wondering if with a -2.7 it is possible to control/improve with supplements and weight bearing exercises? What are you taking? Have added calcium.

How much loading to do in resistance training if one has osteoporosis?
So dad has bone mets and dexa showed osteoporosis in some places like femur and
osteopenia
in some places. Hips are OK. Attaching the report. How does one decide how much resistance training is OK ? Can the resistance training be risky in contributing to fractures ?

LOW TSH WITH STABLE T4
I had a bone scan done on the advice of a private doctor and this came back positive for
Osteopenia
in the Femur neck - which, considering I'm over 55 years of age, possibly is normal aging?

osteoporosis diagnosis
However much to my surprise and disappointment the results came back as osteoporosis in my spine and
osteopenia
in my left hip. A scan 2 years previously had shown
osteopenia
in both spine and left hip. My current T scores are: spine -2.5, left hip neck -2.4, left hip total -1.8.

osteoporosis
I just had a bone density done..my 4th actually. 3 years ago I had
osteopenia
. I walk often and try to eat healthy but could lose 30lbs. I had reading of 1.8 and others of -2.6 (spine) I’d like to hear about exercises ..supplements from others as I do not want to take meds to help correct this.

Thyroid disease and osteopenia/osteoporosis
Hello everyone, I've had the results of my DEXA scan which shows I am at the top of the
osteopenia
score - any higher and I will have osteoporosis. Oddly, this is only in my hips - the scan showed my spine and femur compares well with someone in their 20s.

My most recent bone scan showed some
osteopenia
, not osteoporosis. Anybody else had this occur? Any input?

Indigestion
I’m concerned as one of the side effects is osteoporosis of the hip - I already have
osteopenia
. Is this type of issue linked to UAT and could it indicate under medication? Waiting for blood results, the last in November were not great but I did feel ok.

How often should you repeat DEXA scan if you have Osteopenia?
Spine -1.3 Hip -1.6 I was diagnosed with
osteopenia
and prescribed vitamin d and calcium. I recently saw an endocrinologist about repeating the DEXA scan to see how things are now but he said they don't usually recommend them for people my age? I'm now 31. Is this correct?

nervous about starting Levo
commenced HRT in 2021 due to
osteopenia
. since beginning of this month my thyroid is swollen and I am lethargic. I have been 57kg for most of my adult life and today. I am so frightened at starting Levo again due to past experiences, I felt extremely nauseated and faint on it.

Osteoporosis with good results with Prolia injections
I was diagnosed with
Osteopenia
, then Osteoporosis about 15 years ago. Now, I've taken my fourth Prolia injection (one every six months) and had a bone density workup with satisfactory results.

DEXA results and nerves
Sites I’ve read seem to say -2.5 and above is osteoporosis but then they say -2.5 also falls under
osteopenia
, is there a general consensus on here from those who’ve been diagnosed? Lastly I’m wondering if anyone has or is experiencing nerve issues with
osteopenia
/osteoporosis.

Alendronic Acid
I take Calcium D3 because a DXA scan showed
osteopenia
in my lower back. Would Alendronic Acid be helpful with Calcium D3 or instead of it?

Low TSH advice and breast cancer
I already have very mild
osteopenia
( age 56) and I’m worried that staying on 125 mcg is going to worsen this , with the cancer hormone therapy added in . TBH as I’ve now finished active breast cancer treatments, thyroid not been too of my list !!

Also I’ve developed a pain just below my left knee and it’s down to some osteo as well as
osteopenia
, alongside a “fracture” in the tibial plateau.
