Hi recently diagnosed with osteopenia though I have been on long term thyroid medication (levothyroxine).I understand I need to take vit D3 with vit K2 plus magnesium which I do alongside a good multi B vitamin but I should also take boron and strontium. I have found this supplement. Does anyone know it and is it good or is there a better one to know if?

I take boron. I started on 3mcg a day but I’m trying 6mcg a day at the moment. I looked into strontium citrate and got as far as ordering them from Amazon then lost courage to take them and sent them back. I buy all of my vitamins individually.
I buy Solgar 3mcg capsules and take what you’re taking D3, K2-mk7, magnesium, boron, I also take a seaweed based DHA Omega three algae oil capsule and although I mostly get enough calcium from my diet I top up with an algae based calcium capsule (I found the ones I was offered by my GP really upset my gut. These are fine)
So, good food, lots of fish, chicken, eggs, green leafy veggies, more veg than fruit, some yoghurt and cheese, no junk food, we cook all of our meals from scratch, no fizzy drinks especially Coca Cola, I drink mostly water with an odd glass of wine and weak decaf tea, I eat GF foods and try and keep my sugar intake low.
I do weight bearing exercise. Pilates three times a week and walk every day. It’s very good that you’ve found out before you’ve got full blown osteoporosis and you’ve still got time on your side.
I take Best Naturals Strontium Citrate, just bought some more, £10 for 90 (I buy my boron separately). Taking a half dose of strontium citrate (340mg) did improve my spine bone density and strength (as per REMS fragility score), but only maintained my hip score and my hip strength actually got worse despite it. I hadn't done much exercise, which I believe to be more important for bone strength than anything else - we need to ensure our bones get the right nutrients, but high impact exercise and progressive strength training are necessary on top of this if we want things to improve.
I'd also advise caution with strontium citrate. There's a known risk to heart health with the prescription version, strontium ranelate, if you have an existing heart problem. It's the same strontium in strontium citrate, so it may not be suitable for anyone with existing heart issues, including high blood pressure. Having said that, it may be the ranelate version that causes the problems with the prescription medication, but there hasn't been enough research into the citrate form to know whether it's safe for everyone.
I've also just read that they're running out of strontium supplies, which is about to impact strontium ranelate. I don't know whether the same is true of strontium citrate, but it's the same strontium, so it may well be affected too. Any gains from strontium citrate apparently are lost once you stop taking it. I'm now testing this out by reducing to a quarter dose!
