Hello everyone. Just asking for input from you clever people! I had a Dexa scan in Oct 2022 (73 at the time). Eventually got letter back from Endo with that result along with a host of other bloods. Nothing was said by Endo or GP about the Dexa scan result:
-1.3 left neck of femur
-1.9 lumbar spine
It was only after bloods and this info was sent to my new private Endo that he told me I had osteopenia. So, I have been investigating how to improve my bone health, including weight bearing exercise and a good diet. I try to get a good hour’s walk in every day, run up and down 3 flights of stairs at home and always use stairs rather than escalator or lift! Collagen (1+3) appears to be an aid to bone health. So, as I take Levo+T3 first thing and a further two doses during the rest of the day+evening, will the same length of time after taking T4 or T3 be required, ie 2 hours or 4 hours dependent on the particular supplement? Your advice would be welcomed.😎

I take collagen to help arthritis in my hands. As it’s a protein I regard it as food and take it in my mid morning coffee. I take Liothyronine and levothyroxine at about 6 am, breakfast 1-2 hours later and collagen an hour after that. Not had any problems.
