Getting a past FND/ conversion disorder diagnosis revised in light of new (correct) diagnosis.
I’ve now been diagnosed with
Orthostatic
Hypotension
which would explain these episodes. I get fainting episodes and convulsions afterwards because my brain is starved of oxygen. And low blood pressure causes temporary gait issues.

Beta Blockers
I had a successful ablation seven months ago. I am now on Losartan blood pressure tablets and beta blockers I feel very strongly that the beta blockers are making me breathless and making it hard to get my fitness back. As I am asthmatic I am very aware of my breathing patterns. My cardiologist

Which high blood pressure medication does not affect RLS ?
Hi I have just been diagnosed as having high blood pressure and have been given Felodipine as my treatment but have noticed that it seems to be aggravating my RLS. Is there other medication which would be more suitable?

Taken off Doxazosin
Hi, I was taken off Doxazosin but remain on the coracten (Nifedipine) as the Doxazosin caused bladder protons constant diarrhoea. My pressure ranges from 156/72 to 125/59. Do I need to contact my doctor again.

Hi everyone, I’ve just been asked to attend a pre op appt for 26th April . My last op was cancelled just as lockdown started. The op is for muscle reattachment of my hip, I’ve had nothing but trouble with a metal on metal which was first done 1999, it was fine for 6 years and from then on I’ve had

Pulmonary Hypertension
Has anyone else here been diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension? I have had two Right-heart Catheterizations. The first showed pressure of 60 and the second one showed pressure of 74. So obviously the disease is progressing. I would just like to talk with someone one else who has it so we can commiserate

Blood pressure meds
Hi, I was diagnosed with very high blood pressure today, 180/90. My GP put me straight on two meds. Some people are telling me that’s seems a bit odd and two quick to be put straight on these. My Gp wants to see me again on Friday. Does anyone have a similar experience? Thanks

Not seeing dramatic improvement in numbers
I’ve been on blood pressure meds now for almost 3 weeks. During that time my meds have been tweaked 3x. Started off on Losartan 50mg, then Losartan 100mg and now Losartan 100mg HCTZ (a combo pill that includes a diuretic). I’m pleased that I don’t feel any side effects yet (hopefully won’t), and there

Teva ingredients in Ramipril 5mg for hypertension, anyone?
Does anyone take medication for hypertension? I was recently given Teva brand Ramipril and after a few days the symptoms I get when I used to have Teva levo, reared their ugly heads. I have tried to find the ingredients of the Teva Ramipril to see if it contains fillers the same as in the levothyroxine

Up-date re: BP Medication Journey
5th (and hopefully last) blood pressure medication! Losartan gave me a very nasty side effect, after just 2 days my lips and face were swollen looked like I’d had an overdose of Botox and fillers!! Rang GP told to stop immediately. After 2 days to clear it from my blood stream I’m now on Bendroflumethiazide

T3 and high blood pressure?
I have been on T3 now for six month. To my surprise I have noticed rather high (160/110) blood pressure recently. I have a history of slightly raised blood pressure, originally treated with medication. I have managed to improve my blood pressure and get off meds by loosing a lot of weight (at least that's

Anyone else taking Ongentys?
I have
orthostatic
hypotension
and Ongentys can be flagged for piling on. Keeping well hydrated and lightly saĺt your food was my neurons advice. Ongentys isn't for everyone, and like the rest of what we take, has unpleasant side effects. Also just branded, no generic. .
