I understand you can have a COVID vaccine whilst having Reclast. The vaccine will be effective and safe for you and there are no recommendations around having them at different times. You can have them both on the same day if this is offered. Has someone told you differently?

Read the american board of rheumatology suggests a week in between. I want to wait longer though. I want to be feel good before getting the infusion. Want to wait until after the second shot. ( May 5th.) Putting my reclast out 3 months past the year mark.

As PMRPro says talk to your medical team and see what they say. The Osteoporosis Society say it is fine having the vaccine the same day. It seems you need to weigh up between getting Covid and the effects of that and possibly feeling a bit rough for a day or so after the vaccine.

Talked to every one involved. No problem getting it with a 7 day buffer in each direction. Thank you all.

Had the first Pfizer this morning. Doing fine. Just have a sore arm.

Something to speak about with the team that give the infusion I'd have thought.
