At my wits end
I am from NZ and have been desperate with my RLS also for months, sometimes not getting to sleep till 4.30am!! I finally went back to my Dr saying something had to be done as I couldn’t carry on with no sleep. I’ve been on 1-2 Madopar for years but it just isn’t working now. As well as Madopar, I

Exercise and medications for PAF
I've been on propafenone (150mg three times/day) and diltiazem for about 2 months now, and my PAF is now well controlled on these meds. I'm on the waiting list for an ablation and have been told it will be 6 months or so before I am likely to get a slot for the procedure. The big issue for me now is

Bisoprolol fumarate with possible AF and raised blood pressure
I was perscribed 1.25mg Bisoprolol fumarate due to possible AF and raised blood pressure. My blood pressure at the surgery was 150/91 with heart rate of 80. I have been taking Bisoprolol fumarate for 7 days. I purchased my own blood pressure monitor, made by Omron. Unfortunately I didn't buy the monitor

Ablation and travel
Hello everyone! Just found this site as a lay awake. (Not sleeping well lately). I’m having an ablation under general anesthesia this Wednesday. I’d planned to do it after a planned trip to the Grand Canyon but I had another episode of feeling like I would black out so the doctor moved it up sooner.

AF meds and Valium
Hi all, don't remember asking this first because I'm super worry but, please, anybody has been prescribed Valium when on Digoxin, Flecainide, Sotalol? It appears to relax me and have better sleep, and I only have it some time. I don't think it affects me as it does to others. The Cardiologist prescribed

Ramipril 2.5mg
I've been taking these for just over a week now as felodipine didn't suit. I've developed stomach cramps and wondered if it's connected to ramipril. Doctor s surgery is not available so cannot ask any questions

Fail Lumbar Microdiscectomy
Has any else had a failed Microdiscectomy? I had L5 & L4 shaved down in May 2019 and since then the pain has gradually gotten worse. The pain never left completely but did get much better. My recent MRI is showing servere compression on the nerve again from both discs, my specialist is now sending me

Understanding Portal Hypertension
Please can someone explain to me (in a really simple way), what Portal Hypertension is, what are the symptoms and why would I not be informed I have it (by Liver Consultant) when my Diabetic Consultant knows and, once again, nobody has considered it prudent to inform me. Dr Google does not explain

Indapamide 2.5mg tablets
Hi I am new to this forum. I have been told to start taking Indapamide 2.5mg tablets but am also on Amlodipine 10mg daily. I am scared of the side effects I have read about though for Indapamide and that I have to take them probably forever. My BP has increased recently for some unknown reason whilst

Hypertension linked to tofu and soy
Hi All, I have benefitted greatly from the advice given on this forum. I am writing this in case I can be of help to others. I am a 57 year old female with a history of extremely low blood pressure and low thyroid. I have about 35 pounds of stubborn weight. As part of a new weight loss plan, I decided

Should FISH test be repeated?
Does anyone know if the FISH test is repeated for people with stage zero CLL? I had the test when I was first diagnosed in December 2017, and assume it hasn’t been repeated because my office exam with my hematologist this month didn’t reveal swollen lymph nodes or enlarged spleen.

🤞🏻 Upcoming appointments
Well my son has his appointment for 1st COVID vaccination on the 12/5 but my hubby still to have his 2nd. I have high hopes for appointments next week 🤞🏻I really need this operation for a rectocele repair, it has become so really bad I’d class it as urgent. If the consultant isn’t operating yet there
