Me again ☺️ My blood pressure journey continues ...... had to come off Bendroflumethiazide as it made my blood sugar soar. I am pre diabetic but control it through diet and managed to reverse it after loosing weight. The last thing I wanted was to affect that!!!
Been prescribed Lisinopril now so I’m hoping and praying I’ll be ok with it.

My brother has been taking that for years and gets no problems with it. That's not to say that everyone is the same but ususally if something is going to affect someone, it will be my brother. I hope you get on well with it. x
Well done Shadynook on losing weight. You don’t need me to tell you that weight loss will help your BP as well as your pre-diabetes.I’ve been on lIsonopril with lacidipine for 15 years now and am perfectly happy with it.
Thanks for your reply ☺️ The only worry I have starting the Lisinopril is loosing hair. A few years ago another GP put me on the very first bp medication Ramipril and after taking it for a couple of months my hair started falling out !! I’d lost weight so was able to come off it. When starting this journey I told my now GP what had happened so he said he’d avoid ACE inhibitors anything ending in ‘pril’ After exhausting other alternatives he’s decided to try me on Lisinopril. He said not all ACE inhibitors cause hair loss, we will see....we’ll I will !!
