Is it safe to drink aloe vera gel and can it help with the symptoms of scleroderma?
Professor Chris Denton answered this question in our latest 'Doc Spot' feature in our magazine. He said: "This is a very topical question since there has been a lot of publicity about the potential benefits of drinking juice and supplements containing aloe vera. This builds upon the use of preparations

Aloe vera
Is anyone taking the above please? Can you give me some information about taking it? I have GCA and wonder if it would be a good additional supplement.

Restless Leg Spray: DIY RLS Treatment when You Need To Do Something
I wanted to share a diy RLS spray that I have developed (at least to my liking) over a couple years of suffering with horrible RLS without having access to a bathtub for Epsom salt baths which is my preferred adjunct treatment. I'm not suggesting this replace more traditional treatments. I also take

heartburn/esophagitis
I had a flare up of heartburn/ esophagitis after coming off esomeprazole for 2 years. My doctor told me I had done well for having not taken the tablets for that amount of time. In Feb 2016 I had a flare up and now can't get rid of the heartburn pain. I'm trying to eat bland foods but inadvertently

Struggling for help
I've been suffering from IBS for 3 years now, having started aged 36. I'm male and have had no other instances of IBS in my life. Repeated visits to the doctor have found nothing through blood tests or a sigmoidoscopy. I have tried all sorts of other things including Aloe Vera, grapefruit seed extract

How can I avoid all these foods?
Good morning everyone, It seems like my "avoid" list is growing longer every month. Since sticking to this I have lost just over a stone (since the end of December) I am always hungry and feeling worse because of it. I had been doing really quite well healthwise until I was told (by a professional

I had poison ivy about a month ago, struggled through it with no oral steroid and then an itchy non pi rash appeared on my leg, one area where the pi was, and on my neck. It has been really bad to the point I have to take oral benadryl which totally knocks me out and makes me feel psychotic as well as

Still can't lose weight
I have recently had all my tests done again following about 8 weeks on Levothyroxine 125, which was increased from 100. I am feeling less tired, but still not as good as I feel that I should, and I still can't lose any weight despite more exercise. I am not suffering from any overactive symptoms either

Is aloe vera gel safe to take with Levothyroxine?
I have recently started drinking aloe vera gel and despite feeling improved on the gel I am now reading lots of contradictory stuff on the internet about whether it is actually safe to take with Levothyroxine, i.e. studies with rats have shown that drinking aloe vera gel decreases thyroid function.

Alcohol and IBS
Hi I'm a 25 year old bloke, had IBS since school I think due to being very bad at it and under a lot of pressure to get good grades that I never got. Their have been times when IBS has been very mild and hadn't effected me but now I'm getting older It seems to get worse and it must be all in my head
