To Work or Not to Work.
There has been some recent discussions around the subject of returning to work and how compatible this might be with a diagnosis of PMRGCA. I too am currently having this mental debate as I prepare for a 3rd and final attempt at returning to work in a primary school. I'm not posting this particularly

Packaging and flushing!
Oh the packaging on Benepali. I am so great full for the benefit of the drug but using my poor painful weak fingers to open the packaging makes me shout every time. The little perforations and the cardboard is so tough to pull apart . The other problem I have is flushing the loo with buttons that are

Facial Flushing and heat continued after Prostap/ Leuprorelin
I went on course of prostap for 3 or 4 months for a surgery. I have been off Prostap now for 2 years and I still experience facial flushing and heat whenever I get hot, anxious or nervous or sometimes when I drink alcohol. Sometimes for no reason at all! Its really starting to get to me, as going bright

Rosacea
Hello, My sister is 27 and has been suffering with rosacea for years, (our mums sister also suffers with it) she will only clean her face with warm water no chemicals and will only wear make up on occasions. The dr prescribed her lymecycline, 6 months worth at a time but has left it a while after her

120mg of Etoricoxib for 2 weeks to excessive ?
Hi everyone I hope all this damp weather is not causing you too much pain, stiffness, and swelling ( roll on the summer, not to long now 🌞). I have just been put on a course of 120mg of Etoricoxib for 2 weeks. 120mg seems very high and I have read on medical sites that 120mg should only be taken for

Thanks for your advice - however it would not be a wise move to stop any medication and go alternative, when you have good reasons for being on main stream meds. Alternative meds such as St Johns Wort is very effective after a few mths use - for depression however it does interact poorly with many meds

Diuretics and Ibrutinib
Wondering if anyone is on diuretics and Ibrutinib, lasix, Aldactone, HTCZ, and your thoughts on this. Started diuretic for blood pressure, drinking 80 ounces of water a day, definitely flushing out cells, but not I am staying hydrated

Ozone disinfector & sanitizer ?
The users of C-PAP machines for sleep apnea are recommended to use ozone disinfectors-sanitizers for their masks and hoses. The mask and hose is put into a tank with an activated ozone generator. I now use it also for additional disinfection (after washing and drying ) of face masks for virus-protection

Canthoplasty ruined my face?
I had a canthoplasty with a mid face lift and eyebrow lift to support it 11 days ago. The results are horrible, to say the least. I know it’s still early days and I’m trying to be patient in the hope the everything starts looking more and more natural over the next month or two. Right now, I have a

After the euphoria of graduation... CR1 😱
Wednesday was supposed to be my first consolidation 🏃♀️ and then I looked at the weather forecast ☹️🥺😖 Not just a bit of water 💦 but a yellow weather warning ⚠️ 🤯 Do I wait for Thursday or go today? Decisions decisions... I guess I wanted to get a CR under my belt so thought I’d chance it. My muscles

Random question - rosacea and gluten free?
Hi - sorry for the random question, but as this site as been so helpful re- all things thyroid, I thought I would ask! I’ve just started on a gluten free diet and after only a few days my tummy is already so much happier. I also have rosacea on my nose (think Rudolph the red nose reindeer!!). Like

Bulimia, laxatives and IBS also using finger to aid going toilet.
I have been stuck in a vicious cycle of binging and purging with my awful bulimia over the years, not taking in much nutrients and boozing a lot over the years. I’m changing things around as I’m tired mentally and physically of the eating disorder, and generally want to not cause my health to get to

Acne in your no-ose...shame on you!
I'd much rather have curlers in my hair, if you got the reference... My nose has been getting more and more plugged lately from all the pus and blood scabs. Today, I noticed I have a huge whitehead INSIDE my nostril. Joy. Always a new side effect, right?! The positive is that one doesn't NEED their nose

Flushing/alcohol and dry lips
I just want to share some experience in the hope that it might be helpful. Dry chapped lips that some people take the trouble to write about could be Cheilitis. There’s also angular Cheilitis which is problems in the corners of the mouth. I’m not diagnosing anyone. Give it a google. I’ve controlled

Immune System Discovery Could End Chronic Organ Rejection.
Chronic rejection of transplanted organs is the leading cause of transplant failure, and one that the field of organ transplantation has not overcome in almost six decades since the advent of immunosuppressive drugs enabled the field to flourish.
