Celiac and IBS…
Hi everyone. I talked to my doctor regarding my frequent bowel movements after being on Gf diet for 3 months and he said it’s stress related IBS. If I eat just plain rice with meat or chicken stool is much better. Yesterday I had 2 oranges 1 apple and avocado and this morning my stool was so bad. Doctor

Acne Scarring / Redness / Dry Skin - HELP!
Hi, As a teenager/young adult, I suffered with really bad acne and still have the occasional breakout now and again. I'm now 30, and I'm left with acne scarring, a redness that won't go away, and dry skin issues. I have attached a collage of images demonstrating what I mean, which shows both sides of

Upsetting experience with rheumatologist
Had a very upsetting telephone consultation yesterday, well I say consultation! The first thing he said when I answered the call was " I don't know why you are on my call list this morning!? Anyone got experience of rosacea versus lupus?
Hi, since 2018, after taking a brief course of steroids, I have suffered with a facial rash. Initially I had it round my eyes (under brow, and under eye) down my cheeks, round my collarbone and on my nipple. I also had a small flare of it on my belly button. It was treated with hydrocortisone cream,

Is this a Malar Rash
Hi, I was wondering if this picture displays a malar rash. I had a biopsy on a facial rash 25 years ago, was diagnosed with SCLE but on my records, malar rash isn’t noted at all (the only mention is ‘facial rash’ which is from before the biopsy.) Now in more recent years, my doctors, as well as the

Running in High Humidity
I found an interesting article on running in high humidity, may help runners during our humid summers. Runners can face heat exhaustion or heat cramps as oxygen is diverted to muscles, causing less blood flow to the skin. Add antiperspirants that block skin pores, may add to overheating. http:www.active.com

Pseudomonas aeruginosa rendered almost harmless
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogenic bacterium present in many ecological niches, such as plant roots, stagnant water or even the pipes of our homes. Naturally very versatile, it can cause acute and chronic infections that are potentially fatal for people with weakened immune systems

Creams to prevent insect bites/stings
Hello, I have been on this site for a year or so, but this is my first post. I get really bad reactions to bites and stings. I have lupus and RA. I wondered if any of you have any recommendations of creams or sprays that I can use to prevent this. Also, something that would help limit the damage after

Is this a mild malar rash?
Everyone was just nasty in American forums so I'm asking here. Not asking because I "decided" I have SLE. I just recently got a doc to listen to my symptoms and is sending me to a rheum (I am ANA pos) and I know I could have any number of things. Just wanted to know if this looked like malar rash. I
