Dental health
I am a major proponent of dentists and dental healthcare. I have dental cleanings every 3 months. I made my husband who really disliked dentists realize what they do for our health. He has undergone several major dental treatments first bullied by me. But now he realizes how critical our dental well-being

Dental treatment following a heart attack
I recently had a heart attack and my dentist now wants me to ask my doctor whether I need antibiotics before having dental treatment (to deal with bleeding). Does anyone know anything about this?

Tapentadol and Headaches. Do they go away? Has anyone experienced this?
Headaches on Tapentadol? I’ve just started Tapentadol ER 100mg x2 3 weeks ago from spine problems, chronic migraines, and CRPS. I had been on fentanyl patches 37.5mcg for several years, doing wonderfully with a healthy quality of life, but my insurance company kicked me off of them - I’m in USA and apparently

Endocarditis warning card
“Happy new year” Do BHF still do the endocarditis warning cards at all? I was just curious and do you still have to have antibiotics before any dental treatment? I’ve been reading some very serious stories that have been due to dental treatment and followed by serious complications afterwards. Cheers

Has anyone used a product called Quell?
I was wondering if any of you wonderful people have heard of or used Quell? It is a tens type unit that seems simple, no outlying electrodes, just goes around your calf. You adjust the relief. It is supposed to release naturally occurring opioids from your brain, providing all over pain relief. It is

Does anyone else have CES or have been left paralysed by this? I had surgery for CES 12 months ago but left it too long to get help and I am now an L1 paraplegic with a permanent IDC, bowel issues, constant swelling in my right leg which had a severe DVT, constant UTI’s, and my leg has created holes

Opioid lawsuits to protect us from ourselves
Tonight on the news, there was an interview with former Mississippi Attorney General Mike Moore. He is spearheading multi-state lawsuits against the manufacturers of opioids and stated that, frankly, he hopes to get big enough judgments to put them out of business. Well, that is all well and good for

Alternative treatments for RLS.
Hi mtm19,Tim61, I posted recently about withdrawing from Pramipexole, which I’m doing at the moment, not very nice. My GP eventually discovered I was suffering with myoclonic jerks, not restless leg syndrome. I saw him yesterday’ & he has agreed to try keppra ( levetiracetam) 250mg at night. I took

Today’s Most Promising Drug Targets
A survey of 40+ Parkinsons experts each asked to list what they believe are the 5 top experimental therapies for PD. Amazing breadth in the answers, shows how many different approaches are being taken to tackle the beast. https://tmrwedition.com/2018/12/06/part-4-todays-most-promising-drug-targets/amp

Exclusive use of Kratom
Hello everyone. Wanting some advice about kratom use. I have quite successfully been rotating it monthly with codeine and tramadol for some time. However ,sadly, the opioids have stopped working. And I am wondering if anyone has been using kratom successfully long term on it's own? x

Why have I never known of RLS-UK before now?
Well...having had RLS and Period Limb Movement diagnosed in 2000 (following a chance conversation with a friend/colleague who worked in the sleep study dept of a large teaching hospital) although I certainly had symptoms from childhood, I have had UK hospital/ Consultant input since 2000 and from approx

This is our life now we make rules
How do "YOU" cope? How do "YOU GET through it? Asked those questions of myself many times. Especially at 3 am sleepless and in untreatable pain from Trigeminal Neuralgia. I did actually treat it I kept overdosing on opioids. I do recommend against this as the pain never subsided I just ended

Restarting pramipexole
I started taking pramipexole 9 years ago at .125mg/night. It worked great but over time I had to keep bumping up the dosage for it to be effective. When I reached .75mg/night I went into severe augmentation. With the help of opioids, I was able to taper totally off of it over the course of a year.

Is RLS / PLMS really the cause of all my problems ?
I hope everyone is well and that the responses to my post are helpful to others as well as for myself. Apologies for the long post and the long list of questions Before having ever taken any medication my symptoms are constant significant fatigue, memory loss, cognitive decline. My vision is significantly

JCV has nothing to do with Ocrevus. It is a problem related to Gilenya, so unless "YOU" plan on taking Gilenya it should not concern "YOU" When it comes to side effects read the forms they give "YOU" if "YOU" can as they are in small print. Legally they have to note all side effects encountered

Im new here....The long wait to diagnosis begins.
Hello everyone im currently trying to get to the bottom of a curious pain that I've been having recently. I've been told it could be retrograde bleeding, but I have a long way to go before someone will diagnose me (coming from seeing other women and their stories) ....anyway, a little about my situation
