Pain relief without more opioids
Does anyone have any suggestions for pain relief without more opioids? I was thinking of getting a TENs machine. Can you use pads on abdomen and back?

Dental treatment abroad and travel insurance w/ asthma cover
My mum's due to go to Turkey for dental implant treatment. She has brittle asthma, albeit, controlled. I've found an insurer for the dental aspect, but they won't cover for asthma. Can anybody please give me any suggestions and guidance on what to do? Thank you.

Do bisphosphonates increase pain?
I'm 53 with advanced disease, PSA was 300 in 2020, due to extensive bone Mets. Since then Orchiectomy and Zytiga has done a great job of getting my PSA down to 0.01, for several months now. I have significant bone and nerve pain, under control with opioids Fentanyl plus Morphine, and Pregabalin. Recently

How do you manage?
Living w/chronic pain most of my life. Opioids don't work for me, spinal cord stimulator helps. Exercise + mindfulness help also. I have use of a pool twice-weekly but must use rollator to help me walk. Pain care is mostly private and restricted in ROI, so very expensive! What access do you have to help

Anybody else get chronic diseases year or so after nissen fundoplication?
I had the nissen fundoplication op in 2008 and 18 months later I started to become sick and have got worse everyday since. It started with cluster migraines and something like fainting/non-epileptic seizures. I've read that the vegas nerve can be damaged in stomach ops and can't help feeling that this

Re "Help"
I am writing this to thank all those who responded to my plea for help. I am very moved and quite overwhelmed by the kindness and good advice I have received. It would seem that I need to overcome my fears about opioids on grounds that they are the lesser of two evils. I am hoping to persuade my new

Paper on meds that help DA withdrawal
Hello, can anyone please point me to a paper that details the drugs that can assist with dopamine agonist withdrawal, so that I can share with my doctor? I am stepping down from ropinirole now (due to augmentation, of course) and it is horrible. My doctor, who doesn’t know a lot about RLS (but is open

Endo Hell… refused by hospital and can’t get in GP.
Hello, Currently lying here in pain whilst I try to convince A&E to see me who then do the usual and stick me up with a fridge full of opioids and tell me to make an appointment with my GP who has a 3 week waiting list. Can’t go to work. Can’t get a sick note. Pretty sure most people at work think

RLS OPIOID SURVEY USA
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RJBDLQ6 The US foundation is asking for RLSsufferers to complete a survey to show how opioids have helped your RLS. If you're on opioids & want to ensure access in the future, please complete, even though you're not a US resident. What happens there usually filters down

Oxycodone.. it works for my husband
Hi friends I felt like I needed to update. I was vehemently against the use of any opioids because at one time my husband was trying to self medicate which didn’t work well. He’s literally tried everything. He met a doctor who is helping him tremendously. He’s using 10 mg a night for the last 4 months

What pain relief do you use for endometriosis!
I have stage 4 endometriosis. I’m sure you all know how much it sucks, I’ve been in pain now for 6 weeks straight and some days I cannot even bare weight. I’m really sick of the way opioids make me feel. Does anyone have any other suggestions that works TIAxx

Buprenorphine- Miraculous results
I would like to express my thanks to Shumbah for sharing her story about Buprenorphine after years of suffering severe, refractory RLS. Dental Treatment
May need to have extractions soon, and i am a total coward and usually have sedation even for fillings . Wonder if anyone has been to the dentist while on chemo or on a PARP, if you had to go to a specialist dentist or have a referral from oncologist. I wasnt aware that I should have seen dentist prior

Cannabis Instead of Opioids for Chronic Pain reduction - summary of research from goodrx
An interesting article worth a read. These are just some excerpts. Though personally, I would stay away from Cannabinoids unless and until your reach hospice. It is undisputed that Prostate cancer cells have extra cannabinoid receptors. So, given the role and cannabinoid play in mammal physiology

A non-blog update
Sadly, I haven't been well enough to write a proper blog post that's up to my standards, but am functioning well enough to give a quick update. It's been a 1,013 days since my original prostate cancer diagnosis, so I missed the magic milestone of 1,000 days to do something special. It's also been about

My life with RLS, and the lengths I will go to for relief!
I am 58, and I have had RLS for 13 years. Or I was diagnosed 13 years ago. My story is crazy , and I'm sure some won't believe it. About 15 years ago I started having bad panic attacks! I would go to the ER. Several times a week. I was treated with Xanax. It worked well for me. But then I started getting
