Dental treatment

Finally the weather get better:)can anyone who is on biological treatment advice me if any considerations I need to take when it come to dental treatment please? Thanks 🙏

Do make sure your dentist is aware of your vasculitis and the significance of the treatment you are receiving for it.You should be ok with routine fillings but scaling, root canal treatment and extractions you may need antibiotic cover. Please do talk to your own dentist.

It is always in your best interest to practice good oral hygiene yourself and follow a well balanced diet.

Thank you very much for your reply.but the dentist seem not to have a lot of experience as he is been practicing for inlay 2 year. Could please explain why antibiotic will be need?and is it a must for my condition? I have read your bio and you’re an experience dentist which I believe you got better understanding of the condition and how that’s may effect my treatment. Thanks a lot 🙏

Biologic drugs suppress your immune system making you more susceptible to infections. Maybe you should consider a different dentist who actually understands these important issues?
