Buprenorphine- Miraculous results
I would like to express my thanks to Shumbah for sharing her story about Buprenorphine after years of suffering severe, refractory RLS. I asked my neurologist, Prof. Chaudhuri if he would let me try it months ago and he said he had no objections, but my GP had to agree to prescribe and monitor. I was

Dental Treatment
May need to have extractions soon, and i am a total coward and usually have sedation even for fillings . Wonder if anyone has been to the dentist while on chemo or on a PARP, if you had to go to a specialist dentist or have a referral from oncologist. I wasnt aware that I should have seen dentist prior

Cannabis Instead of Opioids for Chronic Pain reduction - summary of research from goodrx
An interesting article worth a read. These are just some excerpts. Though personally, I would stay away from Cannabinoids unless and until your reach hospice. It is undisputed that Prostate cancer cells have extra cannabinoid receptors. So, given the role and cannabinoid play in mammal physiology

A non-blog update
Sadly, I haven't been well enough to write a proper blog post that's up to my standards, but am functioning well enough to give a quick update. It's been a 1,013 days since my original prostate cancer diagnosis, so I missed the magic milestone of 1,000 days to do something special. It's also been about

My life with RLS, and the lengths I will go to for relief!
I am 58, and I have had RLS for 13 years. Or I was diagnosed 13 years ago. My story is crazy , and I'm sure some won't believe it. About 15 years ago I started having bad panic attacks! I would go to the ER. Several times a week. I was treated with Xanax. It worked well for me. But then I started getting

Pregabalin not working so well anymore
Hi, I wonder if anyone has some advice about this. I take 300mg pregabalin 3 hours before I go to sleep. It has worked really well for over a year but now not so well. My leg, sometimes one sometimes the other, keeps jumping in the air and waking me up. At the moment its at a level where I can cope with

Trapped in my own private hell
I am so anxious. Been awake since 5am and it's now 2pm and I have had a bad year. Lockdown, lost my voluntary job Huge problem for about 5months with a doctor. I phoned everyone for advice and it did work out because I was 💯 correct. SHE (the doctor) phoned me twice to apologise because I was 💯 correct

Stopping or not stopping Apixaban for dental treatment
I asked my GP surgery about Apixaban and dental work but they said ask the dentist. The dentist says ask then GP. Anyone else had this runaround and if so, what was the outcome?

Pregabalin, gabapentin, AED, epileptic drug interactions with B12 processes
Hiya, Does anybody have information on why long term use of AEDs like Pregabalin and gabapentin affect B12. I am deficient as a result of ileum and large intestine surgery, not pernicious anaemia and IM inject myself daily. If the issue lies in intestinal/stomach absorption then I am inclined to continue

Not doing enough
I am scared every day. My medication helps but I take it at night. Before lockdown I had a voluntary job which I loved but the place isn't there now. 2 days a week I helped my elderly friend and he died in 2020. I offered to cook Christmas dinner for his best friend and another person but had to cancel

Claimed improvement in symptoms following dental treatment.
As someone who is terrified of the dentist (with consequent rare attendance) I found this interesting. Particularly, as I now have to visit one very soon. In my experience, the Japanese are not prone to hyperbole/exaggeration... also you might prefer to skip the 'treatment' part of the video clip 😬

RLS and now apnea
I've had RLS for over 5 decades now, and have survived by changing drugs when each one has become ineffective. The latest drug--a semi-opioid called buprenorphine--has been the best! However, I now have central sleep apnea greatly interfering with sleep. I wake up tired and am tired throughout the day

Post 735 Embrace the challenge 29 Apr 2021
G’day my beloved ms family. Everybody is doing really well today. Had a great and restful nights sleep. No Relapsing-Remitting ms (RRms) demons disturbing “YOU”. It will happen eventually, I just have no idea when. After over 20 years they still can cause me grief for no discernible reason

Pain management
Hi all, I just wanted to know what everyone found best for pain management! I’ve always relied heavily on cocodamol and I am currently trying to stop taking it for many reasons. However, I made this decision before I started to have a flare up of (suspected) endo, so I’m finding it quite difficult.

Seizure vs. RLS
I have not seen anything about seizures and RLS. Could be I missed it but this hit me last night. Most of the strong meds for RLS are opioids and what were they first used for? Seizures. Now when your legs get moving on their own have you ever thought that they were going through seizures? So is
