Recent CRPS/RSD Diagnosis
The UAE is a country where even codeine is illegal and other
opiates
are strictly limited to inpatients only so you can imagine my anxiety about returning. Neither do there appear to be any CRPS specialists let alone the 3 disipline approach i.e. pain management/physio/psychotherapy.

Tramadolhead
Hi! I am still worried about my Tramadol withdrawal attempts. My wish is to be opiate free at the end of 2017. Is this too soon ;)? I just read people´s experiences about the withdrawal process. Everyone of us is an unique creature (biochemistry, personality ect.), so one cannot exactly compare experiences

Worried about opiates
I can't have NSAIDs because I was on them for too long so I'm left only with
opiates
until someone figures out what's wrong and hopefully can treat me.

A year today from my last op...
I cannot quite believe a year has passed since my last op! Its sad to say i haven't noticed any real difference in symptoms/pain relief, if anything I'd say I've got worse symptoms and new ones for that matter. I'm not entirely sure if they are all endo related, my problem is I've just kinda been getting

A Bit About Me!
The continual nerve and muscle pain have lead to a regime of increasingly more powerful
opiates
leading to a state of continuous drowsiness but with the pain always breaking through eventually - back to badly disturbed nights, etc. Can't think any more just now - sorry!

Low Dose Naltrexone for fibromyalgia?
Since the last post on this four years ago, has anyone had success with Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN) for fibromyalgia? Here in the USA, Stanford University did a study concluding it offers "significant reduction in symptoms" for both Multiple Sclerosis and fibromyalgia patients. It's the same drug as Narcon

Feel like I'm losing my mind
I smoke quiet a bit of marijuana and have recently begun using
opiates
as an escape. They make me feel free, like a giant weight is lifted off my shoulders. I often stay up all night on them, embracing every second of this state I can.

Side effects of opiate pain meds for SSc.
I'm wondering if anyone has any other tips, apart from quitting the
opiates
on how to manage severe constipation? It's really quite depressing and I seem stuck in a vicious cycle of completely blocked to overly loose (sorry I know it's gross) when I get fed up and take extra laxatives...

4.45 - watching interesting BBC news programme
Woke up as usual. Switched on the t.v. and watching BBC news programme on drug addiction. Am sure it just said 4/5 heroin addicts in USA started on strong opiate painkillers. My doc might prescribe me Tramadol, is it really that strong, addictive and dangerous?

Drug related insomnia
I'm wondering if anyone else who takes
opiates
has found the same.Initially the medication both calmed the RLS and had a sedative effect. As my body became tolerant of the drug the sedation wore off.

I need some honest and informed advice... Please.... Head injuries and Induced coma
They say this may be thr
opiates
depressing his breathing (fentanyl). They did a scan and we've been told there's some swelling and bruising but nothing major. Tonight they lowered the propofal and fentanyl and he is on a new valium based drug.

It's never going to end.
I've been a drug addict since I was 17 (29 now) I've not been addicted to anything nearing a year. Even my recreational drug use has dwindled down to THC which I feel only benefits me. I'm diagnosed Bipolar type , I've been on lithium, depakote, I could list on and on down to the vistaril they give me

Myofascial Pain
GP agreed that the pain was muscular but all routes to pain relief seem to be closed to me because I don't get on well with
opiates
; and NSAIDs are out of the question while I'm still on steroids (3mg) and I also have a reflux problem. So I am stuck with Paracetamol.

My own therapy... my way
Evening fellow endo sisters 😊 It has definitely been a while since I was last logged onto this forum, I was last here in 2014 where I struggled with getting diagnosed. I then went onto having a lap and diathermy surgery for my endo. Had aprox a year totally symptom free .... but now it's back :-( .

Verification of new law.
Nightdancer -the law is going to require all
opiates
to be transmitted electronically straight to pharmacy and limiting to a 7 day supply. This has been as a result of the attrition rate in US.
