He was having trouble getting doctors to prescribe opiates for RLS so he started seeing a concierge doctor here in Southern California. This doctor doesn’t accept any insurance so he is very expensive.

Severe reaction to opiates was reason. So now I am 18 days post op. I have been on paracetamol only since day 3. I have had multiple night sweats since. So last night as an experiment I took last paracetamol in afternoon at 3pm. No sweats, HURRAY. But pain overnight pretty bad.

So, before having the conversation with my doctor (which I'm already worried about), I wanted to ask if anybody had switched from bup/pregablin to low dose opiates and how they did that.

Now, augmenting on RLS under dopamine agonist treatment, the way forward is pretty simple: get off of the remaining dopamine agonist, treat the RLS with pregabalin or Gabapentin and if absolutely necessary, Opiates. Do not ever use dopamine agonist again.

I am off the opiates and my brain is trying to sort out its "new normal" so I would guess this may be part of my issue? I have all but eliminated sugar except for mornings. I am reading and following advice for this but seem to be getting nowhere.

At first he was fine with giving me opiates but all of a sudden changed his mind. (I have Sleep Apnea and COPD.) At my last meeting with him HE suggested I take 2x 7.5 Zopiclone at bed time to calm my RLS AND Help me sleep. I was taking .5mg zopiclone at the time. Well guess what?!

I have been married to a man who has been using opiates following a back injury and more recently, benzodiazepines for the past 7 years. The mood swings are so intense and erratic. I keep busy and try and stay away, and he won’t get therapy.

He allowed there is nothing he can do...I'm already taking co codamol (30/500) which they very generously prescribe two per day and I'm not allowed more opiates because it's a rheumy disease.

there’s not much more she can do, even after a recent MRI showed more endo, she said I could try Zoladex (which I don’t really want to try yet, as I’m hoping to start trying for a baby early next year) and she’s not keen on repeating a surgery, she also won’t give me any stronger pain relief such as opiates

So I keep reading about people who got complete remission of RLS symptoms with opiates but the ones that are on gabapentin or pregabalin don't seem to be so lucky. There always seems to be some RLS left... Are there people here who completely got rid of RLS symptoms while on gabbas?

The fact I had it was a huge deal as normally they do a TAVI under local anaesthetic but I am allergic to LA so my procedure was a complex 3 hours as I can t have morphine or other opiates plus am allergic to anti sickness meds after having Cyclizine & Domperidon.

Hi for those who have tried 1st ,& 2nd line therapies and are now on an opiate which do you find is best for you and mention side effects if you have them . Has anyone had success with just Codien and if so what dose was needed. I am in the UK so not sure what they will prescribe here. I have done

I have been.on opiates for years due to a back injury at work. This in turn made me tilt to the side called manual scoliosis. That years later and just recently caused me to get arthritis in my right hip.

DO NOT mix opiates and make sure your doctor is aware of what you're doing and get their permission to adjust dosages of any medication or switching medications.

What's the reasoning of limiting the time using very Low Dose Naltrexone (VLDN) or Ultra Low Dose Naltrexone ULDN, with short-acting opiates?
