Tramadol

Most doctors in Mexico are not permitted to prescribe any opiates, however tramadol is OTC. I don't know if any of the other synthetic opiates are available, but will check. My question is because I have augmented on tramadol, will I have the same response to other opiates, synthetic or natural?

Buprenorphine finished. What alternative opiates are available?

I’d be grateful for advice on a.) potential withdrawal issues, and b.) alternative opiates.

Research shows Stimulants are effective in treating chronic pain. How can I become a subject in future research ?

After reading about research being done in Md re: the use of Stimulants along with Opiates for chronic pain, I was interested in being a subject in this study. I have had excellent results and wish to help others. Anyone know where to apply to be a subject in this or related research? Thanks.

Post spine fusion pain management

I am aware of the research into opiates and chronic pain not being effective, which on average maybe true, but for certain pain patients with chronic low back pain along with sciatica opiates can be effective.

Buprenorphine patch failure. Now very few med options left.

I would favour opiates and know those that might be candidates, but suggestions as to any possible courses of treatment would be welcome.

Do you want you doctor to prescribe an opioid instead of DA ?John Hopkins statistics on both.

Thus for over 300 years opiates remained the ONLY truly effective treatment for this disease. This category of medications includes codiene, hydrocdone ,morphine , hydromorphone , methadone , Buprenorphine and pentazocine.

Opiates

I have recently been prescribed Oramorph to deal with back pain, but have read on an alternative site that opiates "feed" the tumour. Does anyone know anything about this statement please? Jenny

Delta 8

I think this is much better than opiates, or kratom Or pharmaceuticals. Anyone else using, seems like an easy thing to get in USA.

Hell is back in town

I know ‘pain medication’ are dirty words these days but thank the Lord for Opiates, Analgesics and NSAIDS! Pilates is a big part of my daily routine. 3 x 1 hours sessions per week plus 4 x 15 minute sessions first thing to get me moving more easily.

RLS SPECIALISTS

I would never tell RLS sufferers to not use opiates we need it desperately. I just feel like most first line meds do nothing unless it’s a mild case supplements do nothing and I was thinking how is opiates really helping us?

Painrelief

Suffering with pain due to gallstones, as I am allergic to NSAIDs and opiates like most mastos, pain relief has been poor. Consultant has prescribed Nefopam 30mg. No reactions and at last pain is bearable. Better than fentanyl as not as strong.

Spinal Cord Stimulator and PMR pain

Prior to this procedure, I used every alternative option, including 4 surgical procedures, acupuncture, chiro, massage, PT, opiates, etc. Nothing was successful, and I am quite happy with the pain relief I have using this implant.

Advice please weaning off Neupro

The GP I like has left and the remaining ones are anti opiates although they allow my Morphine as its slow release they won't let me try any other apart from Targinact which I found pretty useless My ferritin is normally checked annually and hovers around the100 mark but GPs refuse to do it anymore as

RLS restlessness vs electric shock feeling

My doctor even wondered if I had RLS at this point or if it’s something else.. it does seem weird that some opiates don’t even touch the symptoms.

New diagnosis how to cope? General advice

And eventually was hospitalised for a week because the pain was unbearable with limited response to opiates. I also began to experience bladder pain and urge to urinate constantly. Issues defecating but also accounted to high opiate doses. I felt often dismissed and told cysts are painful.

LDN Dosing for Cancer - General Guide

For an adult cancer patient who has “no evidence of disease” and wants to use LDN as recurrence prevention, I generally set a target dose of 2mg – 4.5mg. I start at 2mg and gradually increase to 3mg then 4mg then 4.5mg as tolerated. I use bedtime dosing as long as sleep is ok prior to starting LDN.

A critical review of Provenge. Your inputs welcomed?

Any thoughts on this critical review. One thing that strikes me as odd, is how there is no information regarding efficacy since 2012. That's 10 years. If something works well, then why isn't there new data showing that? Some people say, it can't hurt, so just do it. That makes sense if it is true
