Hi I have very recently started hrt, in fact 5 days in. I know at some point I will have a withdrawal bleed but I'm noticing the tell tale signs of period like cramps increasing already (i haven't had a period for months but have been experiencing the cramping continuously regardless). I think I might be over medicating....?
This was a monthly pattern and to do with when I was taking
oestrogen
only or progesterone and
oestrogen
but neither hypo or crashing state was good. Anyway, I’m now on a continuous HRT regime which seems to suit me better as it gives me more stability on a monthly rhythm.

To be on Ibrance or not?
To be on Ibranceor not? I moved from CA to PA and last Nov. had a pet scan and it was cancer free, clear. I was on Ibrance and letrozole for two years as my cancer came back in left lymph nodes again. I had estrogen type cancer in left breast in 2009 and had a double mastectomy and chemo. Then for 5

Zoe Covid Tracker App
There is an interactive map which shows the level of infection in various areas of the country, latest info on various aspects of the disease (today there's a post on there about whether
oestrogen
protects against Covid or not, very interesting) as well as a weekly update message from Professor Spector

Gynaecomastia (man boobs)
I've read that liver disease can cause this (imbalance of testosterone and
oestrogen
) but it can also be a side effect of Spironolactone diuretic medication. I have cirrhosis and also take Spironolactone for pitting oedema in my lower legs and feet (the medication is very effective).

Very low ER positive MBC
Does anyone know anything about the treatment of very low estrogen positive MBC? I was on arimidex for three years before my MBC was diagnosed, and during that time the ER went down from 99 percent to 2 percent. I have been put on ibrance and faslodex. I know this treatment is designed for ER positive

Getting diagnosed
I am 40 years old and have dealt with chronic pelvic pain for years. I am in the US, but I enjoy this forum and I hope it's okay to post here. I'll give you a bit of my history. In 2017, I had several uterine polyps removed. At the time, my surgeon wanted to explore for endometriosis, but I could

On combined HRT for 3 weeks and odd reactions
I am at last on combined HRT to try to regulate my periods and also to help with ectopic heartbeats. I am on the estrogen patches continuously, and the 12 days of progesterone (200mg). The patches I have no real problem with, but the pills are giving me some scary side effects. I ensure I take them

Hormone imbalance
I’m new here, age 47. After a blood test I have a confirmed hormone imbalance. My progesterone to Estrogen levels are at a ratio of 38, it’s says it should be between 100-500. So I am Estrogen dominant. I have middle area weight gain, hot flashes, brain fog, insomnia, night sweats, moodiness and more

Not exactly respiratory, but still of interest to many members: Triple negative breast cancer meets its match.
One member of a larger family of oxygen sensing enzymes could offer a viable target for triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), UTSW researchers report in a new study. The findings, published online this week in Cancer Discovery, might offer hope to this subset of patients who have few effective treatment
