Biopsy results

Just a quick update.

My biopsy was successful and they have found no issues with Emma/Alice tests said both had perfect readings.

The ERA test was the interesting one... this could be a long explanation

So usually I start my medication on day 21 with Buserelin until I bleed then have a base scan and start meds when they say, can’t remember the exact timeline.

With the biopsy they didn’t follow a normal transfer protocol I started meds day 1 of my cycle 6mg of oestrogen and Buserelin 0.5ml, I did this from 08/05 until 03/06, I took my last Buserelin on the 03/06 and started my cyclogest 2 per day & continued the oestrogen 6mg...

My lining which isn’t normally thick enough was 10mm, my the era test came back as being optimum @ 121hours +/- 3 which is the exact time they did my biopsy!

The consultant has ordered for me to follow the biopsy protocol again because if we’d of had an embryo put back it should have had a very high chance of working.

All this got me thinking I paid £1500 to find out that the IVF protocol of medication wasn’t right for me how many women have missed out on finding that out?

Anyway hurry up day 1, I’ve got my excitement back for transfer 3 x

Great news!! I dont do the down regulation meds either as it shuts my body down too much too and my liking was never great. Mind you not that it's great without it but better without. I guess it just shows there is such variations on protocols that we respond differently to. Roll on that next transfer for you, hopefully you have found your magic formula!!🤞🏻🤞🏻xxx

Thank you! It’s mad how similar we are with the lining issues etc and now this! Mad, have you had any news yet? X

Im hoping to transfer end of July but its all still up in the air. We are meant to be allowed into Athens from 1st July but waiting on official announcement from Greek government and also hoping the UK drop the 14 day quarantine here too as cant take 3 weeks off work! However its all planned for if we do get the green light.xx

Could you not order a test when you get back? If it’s negative surely you can go out? Xx

No, its quaratine for 2 wk if returning from abroad just in case you are in an incubation period....I also work in the NHS too so I wont be allowed back to work I cant imagine. Will just have to hang fire, hoping they drop it anyway, Greece only has 180 deaths so more likely to catch it here lol!xx

That’s great news, would you mind me asking which clinic did those tests for you? Do you need sedation for the biopsy? All the best for your next transfer xx

Hi it was Care Fertility Chester, no sedation it was the same as a transfer but they took a sample. Not going to lie it was very uncomfortable and it’s the only time I’ve experienced spotting. As soon as I’d left there was no pain just felt like chewing cotton wool down there whilst it happened.

Oh wow, that's amazing news! Hopefully they have found exactly what's going to work for you. Amazing how different it can be. I just signed up to get ERA testing done while I'm waiting for my next fresh cycle. I'm feeling really positive about it, especially after seeing stories like yours 😊 Wishing you the best of luck xxxx

Wow thats great...good luck...I had no idea of this ERA test...thanks for sharing...kinda makes sense why short protocol drugs worked and long didn't for me.

Is the short the same as my biopsy protocol ?

Was different drugs...but I was thinking diff drugs diff ppl...not one protocol fits all...(nhs was very standard drugs...didn't work 4 me and loads of other ppl I know). In short I had injections: meriofert cetrotide ovitrelle and the wonderful cyclogest pessaries.
