Next steps on the journey

Following my earlier post, I have spoken to my RO who has suggested that I start hormone treatment immediately because there is a backlog for radiotherapy due to Covid 19 of at least two to three months. He has suggested six and a half weeks of RT and has prescribed bicalutamide, he also mentioned another medication that would counteract the oestrogen, that I can’t remember the name of?

Any advice as to what to expect would be much appreciated. I am a keen runner, a vegan and like the odd tipple!

Sounds like a good plan. Go on casodex and stay on it all through radiation and after, as long as it works for you.

Peace to you MotoGuzzi! You can survive living (with) APC for many years. I was non op. I did adt before 8 weeks imrt . I had tubes and foley for a year with pc tumors blocking urethra and bladder causing k fsilure. That was no fun. Hopefully you’ll never see any of that hell. Still, I went into remission and have remained here four years now. You Oman is solid and can work for you . I suggest clean living cut anything bad that you eat a or drink. Do yoga work out all in nature and do anything to reliev yourself for dwelling on APC 24/7.. I’m full of side effects but happy to still be walking after a bad prognosis at the start . This is you life . You must save your self and find peace in the storm while your being whittled down by pc and the treatments. You will suffer . We all do . Pray to put pc to sleep for a good long time. No cure but many have survived for decades with worse.. Ask and receive answers from our knowledgeable crew. You will do what you have to do to live past this. Make sure to smell any flowers by the wayside. I had two years of self loathing and morbid thoughts of suicide. Some how I emerged out of that thinking after three bad years . You won’t have that because you don’t have tubes out of your Kidneys . Be thankful , ot can get better or worse . I think you can do slot for yourself by beating well

And exercising and every day , even if you didn’t before . Oxygen doing cardio and some weight Bearing stuff can help stave off cardiac and osteo issues. of which adt drives both onto us . Don’t listen to anyone talking negative . Especially doctors . Please stay in touch and question. I and others have been right where you are now. It a crazy dx . You can do this . Live well and enjoy this orb and love those around you . Take care . With running , began, a few key nutrients you will push that damed pc away . Once that your in remission and your pc is in the bag could you please tape that mottoguzzi motor humming and salute us all . ? I always wanted to ride one. All Italian shot is cool . Practice daily happiness. You’ve got this! Scott in Prescott 🌵

Go Guzzi! It’s like flying isn’t it ? A sense of freedom and power on a bike . I liquidated all of my toys . Needed the $ ..I once drove an alpha Romeo . Love those Italian styles .. Later .😎✌️🌵

Yes it is, or dancing as you move as one with your bike, tracing corners and brushing your knees on the ground. Always wanted a red Alpha Spider 🇮🇹 I blame it on my Italian mother 😂

That adt will start shrinking the pc away before you even do Rt. Then the Rt will blast that mf away. 😎✌️

Don't recall if you had a PSMA PET/CT. If not, one month of Casodex will enhance its detection capability.

I will avoid a lecture on information theory, but instead, I will tell you a basic tactic every serius sudoku fan knows and uses. With entry level sudokus one finds a box to fit a specific number. With sudokus of medium difficulty, at some point one has to find a box where all but one pending numbers DONT fit. Moral of the parallel: Your negative PSMA contains information but requires an "advanced" RO to "solve" your case.

That’s good.

Why not get a 6-month Lupron shot? The other drug is tamoxifen (usually unnecessary with Lupron.)
