Hi there. I was diagnosed last Friday with a UTI which travelled up into the kidneys causing unbelievable pain. I had to go to A&E in the middle of a night and this is when I was diagnosed and they gave me some antibiotics, seven day course of which I finished on Friday. But I still had some back pain

It is been 18 months since my last Hyperbaric Oygen Treatment for radiation cystitis. I had bleeding with clots multiple times which sent me to the ER. I have not had any bleeding since then, except one time a few months ago while doing exercises related to physical therapy. My urologist says as long

Cystoscopy or not to cystoscopy
The urologist who referred me for the Ultra sound scan and cystoscopy is now away until the 29th August however the NHS have sent me an appointment for the cystoscopy next Friday, 16th. The urology department when making the appointment remarked that the USS had come back normal with no focal lesions

Does GCA affect eyes in an all-or-nothing way, or are there degrees?
Hello GCA folks, I am on month 3 of prednisone (currently 15 mg), after PMR diagnosis in early June. Age 60. My question for you is: when your GCA came on, did you experience a sudden loss of vision, or did it come on gradually? And if gradual, did it affect all ranges (i.e., near, mid- and distance

Urinary Incontinence
I have been able to totally stop my incontinence by doing Kegel Exercises! I occasionally still do them if I happen to think about it. I highly recommend this exercise since it is effective, and takes absolutely no energy and can be done anywhere at anytime.

Change in T sound, help!!
Hi everyone, I had T start in Sept 2022 which I managed to live with / habituate. I reached out to people on this wonderful group and learnt tips to help manage it. The sound I had was a low ringing sound and intermittent sound of a steam train which is the best way to describe it. The steam train

Tips for a clean and clear blood test
Dear All, I'm asking you as I know you will have answers. I have a blood test arranged, not for Thyroid, I know those does and don'ts (thanks to HealthUnlocked). This test is to differentiate between Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. I can go at a time I want, would it be best first thing, lunchtime

Anti -coagulation dosage.
Much is written on the subject of anti- coagulants and medicine dosage in general when administered to the elderly. I read that the dose of Eliquis should be lowered for the over 80s, but have not read (unless I've missed it) anything about lowering the dosage of Xarelto at that age. Does anyone have
