Should I undergo Triplet therapy?
Was diagnosed with stage-4 prostrate cancer with metastasis to lymph nodes and bones in April 2024. PSA was 400 when diagnosed and it shot up to 700 in a month. Started with Lupron and Nubeqa. PSA has come down to 8 in 2 months. Next PSA test (after 3rd month) is tomorrow. My Oncologist wants to

adt prior to radiation treatment
The urologist wants to use Lupron prior to radiation treatment and I am wondering if I should insist on Orgovyx instead. Are there studies I can go into my appointment with to support?

Dad’s 6 weekly psa shows a little rise compared to the one at 3 weeks - grateful for any thoughts.
Dad , 83 , was diagnosed in May with PSA 18 and bone mets as per PSMA scan. Initially the plan was to do lupron and he was started on bicalutamide 100 mg daily , which he took for 3 weeks uptil 7th June. But then we decided to go with relugolix and not lupron and the bicalutamide was stopped.

Hello, I am here because my husband just got diagnosed with prostate cancer with metastasis to lymph nodes. Gleason 9, PSA 56, he is 54 years old. We are both in shock still and real scared. Did not expect to hear stage 4. Trying to get as much info as possible how to deal with this new reality. He was

ADT reduced Zytiga and PCa variants
Been on Zytiga over a year, taken with Xgeva and Lupron. During the two pill test period of Zytiga, no food - 2hrs and + 1hr, my T and PSA became undetectable. Convinced the powers to continue with 2 pills to possibly reduce side effects and prolong effectiveness. T and PSA undetectable after a year

Carbs vs. Fats vs. Protein
Has anyone come across research that speaks to what is the best diet strategy in terms of macros? I just finished my last radiation treatment! However, I will still be on ADT/Lupron for another 4 months. So it’s time to buckle up and get back to a cancer-preventive diet along with my current exercise

PSA going up. Next on the agenda.
My PSA has been going up steadily for a couple of years. In Jan. of this year it was 0.052 and now is 0.25. It went up 25% in the last month. I am on Lupron and Abi. Seems like they are failing. I know, it is still low, but I am looking at my next options. I am not one to prolong life at any cost. I

Stopping Lupron?
I have been on Lupron and Xtandi for 2 years and 4 months. My lupron injections are for 3 months, and with insurance it is costing me about $1,300 per injection OOP due to my $8,700 total TOOP. I'm thinking about stopping Lupron, it's such a beat down and it's made life very difficult. The fatigue alone

Finding consensus on treatment and side effects
As per earlier posts I’m 72 yrs old with Stage 4 Gleason 9 with some spread outside of prostate. I started ADT treatment in April and finished 4 weeks of radiation therapy on July 5. Statistically I think I’m doing well. My PSA went from 8.4 to .012 in two months. Until recently I had really no side

intermittent ADT+Abiraterone
Six months ago I ended a 12 month holiday from my ADT + abiraterone. (In this post, I’m not asking for evaluations of the advisability of intermittency.) In making the decision to do the intermittency, my MO, among other things, said that the fact that I was on abiraterone was a positive factor for

ORGOVYX vs LUPRON
89 year old male Which has less side effects. I suffered significant joint pain in knees with bicalumatide and would appreciate advice. Doctor suggested Lupron but I like the Orgovyx pill approach because you can always stop the pill if the side effects are bad.

catheter for urinary retention
Does anyone have advice or tips on getting a catheter removed? My husband had it inserted due to urinary retention. The oncologist said his prostrate is full of cancer and pressing on the urethra. He has started adt with casodex and lupron. Soon to add zytiga. He also takes flomax. He’s tried twice

Some good news yesterday
I’m 66, dealing with PCa for 6 years, have had surgery and radiation 2x. Things were quiet for a year and a half. After a rapid rise in psa this spring, the docs at Duke put me on Lupron and Xtandi. The three month check up shows t level is down to 18, psa is 0.23, a decline of 96.5%. Thank God and

Cancer Turned Aggressive?
My dad has been battling prostate cancer for 15+ years . He goes to University of Chicago. He is 74. Early 2000’s- prostate removed - not clean margins. Did no further treatment 2004 - Cancer came back. Only seen on PSA test. Watched for years until PSA finally doubled. 2007-2008- went on Lupron

diarrhea flares ?
My dad had radiation that ended in January. Currently on Lupron. Had his last shot July 7th and his PSA was .02. He had a lot of issues post radiation, with diarrhea and gas, but that subsided and he has been good for a while. All the sudden these symptoms are happening again. When he had his last Lupron

ED, ADT and Orgasm
I've been on Lupron for prostate cancer and am in my 4th of 6 months. I finished radiation therapy a month ago. I'm able to get a really good erection from 100 mg of Viagra but require direct stimulation. Before ADT, I could get hard just *thinking* about sex. Several guys have told me I'm lucky I

Help deciding on treatment
Discovered this forum a month ago and have found it to be a wealth of information, with very educated/informed members. Hoping that you can spread some of your wisdom and help my finalize my decision with treatment. I've posted more details in my profile as well as write ups from MSKCC on my Biopsy

What treatment next as PSA increasing on Daroludamide & Lupron
My PSA is increasing after a year on Daroludamide and Lupron.
Questions:
1) can the Daroludamide be increased?
2) what is the next treatment after this to reduce PSA?
Sincere thanks.
