Health Check: do home remedies for common warts really work?
Strangely, despite my
neutropenia
and immunoglobulin levels worsening over time, I haven't had a subsequent outbreak of warts. Neil Photo: Sunset on an avenue of eucalyptus trees on a country road

Neutropenia again
He has been having
neutropenia
and low WBC at 1.7 for several months. The heme-onc physician was scheduled to see him in November but because of the bad fever and tremors, we went to the ER.

GOING THROUGH TREATMENT DURING WINTER/holidays
Generally
neutropenia
is part of the deal with any CLL treatment. Likely you'll be told to go on a neutropenic diet at some point. That means no rare meat or fish, no raw veggies or fruits, undercooked eggs, even omelettes, even non pasteurised cheese!

Update on Meds and Diagnosis
Because of my
neutropenia
, she was not keen on putting me on any more disease modifying drugs. Therefore I will remain on Hydroxychloroquine 400mg daily. Ive been put on this drug because I'm RNP Positive? Not really sure what that means.

Regular dental check ups linked to significant protection against bacterial pneumonia!
I'll also repeat my recent response to a question about immunity compromise due to CLL (specifically
neutropenia
) and whether there's a risk of extra cavities (I'm not aware of one): [i]'Our mouths are obviously a prime route of bacteria into our bodies; hence the large amount of protective lymphatic

Immune disorder
I got my Results Yesterday, it is Immune
Neutropenia
, so they say, and the doctor thinks its a secondary immune disorder brought on by my underactive thyroid, and age. The Doctor reckons all I need is a 3month blood check of my white cells, nothing more.

Help with test results please...
I've known about the
neutropenia
for a couple of years, they don't know what's causing it despite lots of tests.

A good visit to the dentist
Being well into severity level 4
neutropenia
, (Absolute Neutrophil Count 0.26 in last week's blood test), preparation involved filling a script for a prophylactic antibiotic. My specialist prescribes one 500mg Azithromycin 'Zedd' tablet taken 30 to 60 minutes before the appointment.

shock diagnoses
I have been reading up on symptoms, which include sore mouth, bad teeth, sinus problems, and breathing difficulties, and more on list, and with genetic
neutropenia
stunted growth. Mostly all these things I have suffered with my entire life, except breathing difficulties.

Newly diagnosed and totally confused
multiple strep infections in throat , severe fatigue , pyrexia,
Neutropenia
showing in blood tests. Weirdly all my symptoms occur at the same time, this drains me . My gp sent me back to the rheumatologist . Blood work showed only that my neutrophils were low, and I had a high positive ANA test.

Right now, I'm doing well except for persistent
Neutropenia
(coming up to one year post treatment next month). My doc is a CLL expert in the US but works in a smaller community (Jeff Sharman). Have had Neupogen 3X, 2X and now 1X a week since March 1.

The End of my treatment
I arrived home yesterday, bringing with me
neutropenia
after my final chemo two weeks ago. I am armed with masks and am housebound for the next couple of weeks. I am to go back for bloods in two weeks. Hopefully my nutrophils will have increased in that time.

Neutropenia zzzz
So I'm curious what anyone's experience with
neutropenia
has been -- how long it lasted, and if you too felt super weepy from it? Anything I can do to push through it?

Neutrophil Count <0.7 whilst Taking Mycophenolate Mofitil
I read that life expectancy with febrile severe
neutropenia
(<0.5) is 2 weeks. I CERTAINLY do not want to risk this happening so I'm constantly washing my hands, maintaining excellent oral hygiene and staying away from anything sharp! But there is only so much I can control.
