Finally going for RAI, I think (after 15 years of ATDs)
Hi, having had Graves about 15 years and used PTU, I finally had a wake up call that I shouldn't be living with chronic
neutropenia
for life .

Bendamustine-Rituximab - When do cytopenias disappear? During treatment? Post-treatment?
No fatigue, no cytopenias remaining (anemia,
neutropenia
, thrombocytopenia), no chronic chest infections, no Late-Onset
Neutropenia
(linked to Rituximab, and possibly permanent for some)? I have been reading a lot of posts here from people who did BR.

Should Medicinal Mushrooms Be Included in a Supplement Regimen?
But she was having trouble with the chemo because of a declining white blood cell count (
neutropenia
). Her oncologist placed her on Neulasta to increase her WBC which, because of its mode of action caused her extreme bone pain.

Thrombocytopenia, Neutropenia and left shifted myeloid
I have persistent Thrombocytopenia (low platelets) and
Neutropenia
(low white blood cells). I had a bone marrow sample taken in 2014 and was told I have predominant left shifted myeloid and megakaryoctic series. When I research a left shifted myeloid it basically means I have immature leukocytes.

Neutropenia - Antibiotics good idea before dental work?
My neutrophils are quite low right now. I have not been having problems with infections. I will be going in for some dental work - a cleaning and then later a filling or crown. Would it be advisable to begin a short course of antibiotics before going to dentist, given that oral bacteria can enter tissue

Four and a half months post chemo and neutropenia causes a little trip to hospital- why?
HI there! Having finished chem at the end of November , I have felt that things are getting back to some sort of normality. I have been feeling well, gone back to work as a teacher on a phased return and have enjoyed NOT going to the hospital! This Easter, I came down with a tickly throat and the beginnings

Neutropenia sepsis and pneumonia
Hi everyone My mum has just got out of a two week stay in hospital with
neutropenia
sepsis and pneumonia. She is exceptionally weak and is so frustrated and presumes the worst now. Has anyone else had this? If so, how long did it take you to get your strength back? I hate to see her like this.

Surgery cancelled today due to Neutropenia.
I was gowned up, stockings on waiting for call to theatre and path lab ring to say white cells (particularly neutrophils) had not sufficiently recovered from my 3rd chemo. I'm obviously I would be at risk of infection. My surgeon was a little more gung ho and said we could risk it, but the anaesthetist

How do you live & work etc. with neutropenia?
At the start we tried sulphasalazine & methotrexate of which wasn't working well, nor could I tolerate, I went on to enbrel which worker for a year or so, whereby during the time I has 2-3 episodes of
neutropenia
of about 1.8, I'm aware the threshold in these treatments is 2.5.

‘Tis the season for food poisoning: a Christmas warning
safe and enjoyable Christmas by being careful what you eat, taking particular care to avoid foods that have not been adequately refrigerated and for those under treatment or recently treated with anti-CD20 antibodies like Rituximab/Mabthera or Gazyva/Obinutuzumab, foods not recommended for people with

FCR Cycle 4 (For CLL) - Itchy Rash
This has continued to improve and lymph nodes in neck, groin and jaw have also disappeared and no sign of
Neutropenia
thus far, so I am very pleased, thank you very much.

Advice needed, equality act
I have had a diagnosis of autoimmune
Neutropenia
(something killing off my white neutrophils that fight bacterial and fungal infections). I have been injecting gcsf to bring these up to a normal level but this is a continuous process.

Cycle 8, Day 1 OSU Obin/Ibrutinib/Venetoclax Trial Update
My BFF trial friend (and fellow CLLSA member), who is a month behind me, had
neutropenia
(low count of neutrophils – white blood cells that fight infection – same thing I was fighting last month) and was denied treatment, which was just awful.
