What pain killers can I use after HA and stents
Is there really no solution for a chronic pain sufferer (back, shoulder and neck pain)who was on NSAID for 26 years. Had heart attack and 4 stents, now allowed NO NSAIDs. Quality of life is suffering more with the pain than the HA. Diclofenec was the most successful of the anti inflammatory s but I have

GP's withholding Consultants diagnosis!
In a previous post I explained how my GP has a policy of concealing Consultants diagnosis from his patients, and I only discovered that had Emphysema, and Pulmonary Fibrosis last December by chance, when I sneaked a look at the COPD nurses computer! Since then I have made any amount of complaints

First time I have started a post
I was diagnosed with PAF about 7 years ago. I am taking Rivoraxaban, Bisoprolol 2.5mg twice a day and Felodipine 5mg. In the main I am managing my AF reasonably well. I have been offered an ablation, but refused on the basis that I don’t think that I am symptomatic enough for such a drastic procedure

?? Back in AFib
Had a stressful week. Been in sinus rhythm since ablation in May. Been told to stop my medication. This week I have been told I have breast cancer. Awaiting my treatment plan. I’m not sleeping too well and this morning my heart rate has gone up. Not sure if it’s just a tachycardia episode or AFib. I

Amiodarone and shingles vaccination
I had the flu vaccination and shingles vaccination 2 weeks ago just before coming to America to see some of my children. I had an ablation at the beginning of September which led to a chest infection. A week ago I started feeling a bit below par. Have some spots on my forehead and in my hair and stabbing

My baby granddaughter has just come home from hospital after viral meningitis and she seem really unhappy and hard to comfort? She has really bad nappy rash which we expected as a result of the amount of drugs pumped into her but she just seems so unhappy! Any ideas or thought ? Will it pass?

Personal decision on this! Read earlier posts, references & the devil is in the detail! Who knows? What I can say is that my GCA followed straight after Shingles!! (Plus a lot of other stuff!)

Meningitis c vaccine privately for babies?
Hello, so in the newest NHS vaccine schedule all babies receive the meningitis B vaccine. However, they have postponed the men c vaccine to 1 year now. I've read about a girl getting meningitis c before her first birthday though, so she would have been protected had the vaccines still been given at 12

NDT to Levothyroxine T4and T3
Hi, I am currently on 3 tablets of Thai NDT by T.R Mann. I was much better on 2 grains of Nature Throid but I just can’t afford to keep buying these expensive NDT’s. I have decided to try T4 and a small amount of T3 which works out a lot cheaper and is easier to get hold of. I treat myself as I have

St Thomas’ appointment today
Well a bit of a stressful journey there! Good news. I’m in sinus rhythm. I can stop Flecainide and start to decrease Bisoprolol. They hope this will sort out the breathlessness. Also a chest physician referral. They’ll see me again in 3 months.

Hawthorn and Apixaban?
A while ago I read with interest the alleged benefit to the heart that the herb Hawthorn provided, especialy for AF sufferers. I've also recently read that it's quite liberally dispensed in Germany. However, I chose not to take it because it was recommended not to take it if you are on beta blockers,
