Week Eight Complete and some
I did it, 28 minutes, except I carried on and almost did a full 30 minutes. I’ve been worried about adding the extra time as I’ve been feeling sick and unsure I could carry on, I suspect this is more mental and about waiting for the end to come, probably pushing myself harder too. Speed is increasing

AF and drugs
Hi all , have just joined this group. I was diagnosed with AF finally last year which I was so shocked about and feel so miserable, and have recently had an ablation , 3 weeks ago , wanted to know if this is meant to be instantaneous as, do not feel a lot different may be not quite as bad with palpitations

After testing I was told that my femoral
nerve
was damaged from femoral
block
. The dr told my it would be a year before the nerve healed itself. I am unable to strengthen my quads and still use a cane to walk. I tried to return to work after 8 weeks but did not make 2 weeks before my leg was toast.

Apixaban and tattoos
Ok. I know this is a strange question to ask. I am currently going through a divorce . My soon to be ex and myself had matching tattoos done on our backs. I really really need a cover-up. The design is definitely not me any more even though there are no names or dates. So, how do I go about this with

Hi everyone! My 1year old daughter also is suffering from TB Meningitis and had undergone vp shunt already... The experience is really frustrating and heartbreaking but it made me and is still making me stronger everyday. God has been very good to us since after the operation, she was immediately transferred

AF without fast pulse?
I was just wondering if anyone suffers from symptoms the same as me. I have, according to the experts paroxysmal AF, but when I have a attack I rarely have a HR above 80 just irregular beats. My attacks tend to be for about 10 days but never consistent more intermittent flipping in and out of sinus with

Skipped beats, or AF?
Feeling good, four months after my ablation, stacking a ton of logs, changing, then dragging my kayak up a steep incline, after a brisk 50 minute paddle on the sea, seemed like a good idea. I felt better than fine throughout. After the kayak trip we went for a meal where I tucked into a large portion

Head pain 10 yrs after VM
I was diagnosed with viral meningoencephalitis (meningitis and encephalitis) in April of 2008...hospitalized for 2 wks, home for about a week and a half, then back in for 10 days. I have not been without head pain since April 14/2008. Some days are better than others, some days are pure hell, with vomiting

Lyme disease from UK spider bite?
Hi, a few years ago I got bit on the leg by what I think was a false white spider. I did not see the spider but the wound looks like others who had this bite. I remember the next few days feeling unwell and flu like. Dr gave 2 weeks of antibotics and it took 3 months to heal and I had to get the necrotic

Some questions from a Newbie in Limbo
Diagnosed 2 weeks ago, waiting in Chromosome analysis for my sub type, just had a few questions for fellow sufferers. 1. Ive just had night sweats for the first time? I had a pretty nasty cold so maybe its to be expected. Should I call my haemotologist? He gave me the impression we needed to wait til

Immunizations galore
My haemo has me set up to get a shingles shot and two pneumonia shots, because of my immune system being potentially lower due to the hydroxyurea. Public health nurse says I should also get a meningitis vaccination and an updated tetanus shot. All this before I even get my annual flu shot in the fall

Transcutaneous electrical stimulation unit
Has anybody had a chance to use a TENS unit? Transcutaneous electrical stimulation does something to the muscles which is supposed to help with pain of all kinds. I've got one on right now and it definitely does something to the restless, horrible, creepy feeling but I'm not sure if I'll be able to
