hiatus hernia
I have been on prednisone since January 2017…it seems a lifetime ago☹️ I was put on Alendronic Acid which in turn gave me a hiatus hernia/GERD (2019) ...the consultant I saw said he was positive it happened because of the AA…☹️ It has undoubtedly had a major affect on my life making PMR almost acceptable

what’s the best exercise and nutrition while on Abiraterone/Prednisone and Lupron.
I’m 44 years old with PCa. I’m on ADT for the last 18 months and had radiation and chemo a year ago. I have fatigue and find it very difficult to get the energy to workout. It’s also difficult to get motivation. Does anyone have any suggestions on workouts and nutrition during this treatment?

COVID FLARE?
I've been down to zero prednisone for about three weeks, still on Kevzara. I have had Covid for a week and tonight my shoulder hurts. Could this be a flare?

Knee Effusion (Water on Knee) from PMR?
My knees started feeling quite painful shortly after the PMR started. I assumed it was part of PMR until my Rheumatologist said a few months ago she didn't think it was. The knee pain has increased more than the PMR pains as prednisone has been tapered. (I'm on the "75% less pain than untreated is

Prednisone masking various pain issues?
I have read prednisone does not treat certain pain issues ie “arthritis” yet I am also seeing many commemts about prednisone “masking” certain issues, seems like a contradiction, and resulting in a view that prednisone is a pain killer/anti iflammatory, for other conditions other than pmr, ?

Side effects of steroids and why I'm determined to get off them !!
OK so the past few days have been a bit of a nightmare to say the least, but at the end of the day, having spoken to several others who are on steroids for PMR, I have drawn the following conclusion. I need to get off of them as soon as possible. I have been on them for just over a year now and

Rheumatology visit and prednisone reduction
Before I went to the doctor this morning, I knew how much better I felt. That was even though I sat up for two hours in the middle of last night listening to a book after my second 60 mg dose. I made myself go back to bed three hours before I had to rise, and rise I did! Wide-eyed... The doctor told

Well, I just took 60 mg of prednisone~Wednesday night in the States~
After five years, on June 27, I got to zero pred, though I am continuing Actemra. It was July 26 when I started having a headache, which over the next few days had progressed to sharp pain down the left forehead and was needle-like in my left eye, my blind eye. I had intermittent pain on the right side

Happy anniversary?
It was exactly 1 year ago that I got my first elevated PSA test that started my prostate cancer experience (I don’t like to say “Journey”). Details in my comic. (http://burnscomic.com) After that, I had another PSA test (still elevated a month later), a pelvic MRI (showing pi-rads 5 areas), then a

Finally finished prednisolone.
Hi all, after just over 7.5 years I've finally managed to stop pred. It's been a very long and slow reduction with the inevitable hiccups along the way. I ended up on 0.5mg every 2 days and finished last week, with no ill effects that I'm aware of. The last PMR symptoms I had were in 2020. What I'd like

Unsure about symptoms
Before I contact my doctor I would appreciate some advice. Presently on 9mg prednisone for 2 months, three weeks in. Not feeling well, headache, nausea, aches upper body. Thought perhaps it was fatigue so rested for two days and felt better. I sleep well and eat well but seem to be losing weight slowly
