Can this be due to B12 I.
My daughter has been having loading B12 for the last week. Her bloods showed B12 169 and Hb 10, ferritin 15 and other tests all skewed. Prior to this being discovered She has had neuropathy in one leg thought to be due to a back problem ( prolapsed disc). Since starting the B12 shots the neuropathy

Peripheral Neuropathy and Hashis?
Hi all I’m just wondering if anyone else experiences sharp stabby pains in feet and toes especially evening and night? Ive been noticing these more and more over the past few months. I’m worried it might be a sign of peripheral neuropathy. I’m probably going to have to see the GP about it but keep hoping

Nifedipine
Hi All, Earlier this year I told I have Raynauds and they think it's primary. Last winter my fingers were really painful and my toes went numb and had cramps if outside for too long. My consultant said this winter, if required, I could try a blood pressure tablet called Nifedipine. Has anyone on here

Hey All, So my ranula turned into a plunging ranula (I think) but the GP has referred me for an expedited cancer check as the gland beneath is swollen too and he wants to make sure it's not cancer. I'm telling myself it's a plunging ranula for now as there is a tail and the gland hurts so all the symptoms

I bought a bottle called "doctor's best high absorption magnesium 100% chelated" 100mg tablets (ingredient says from magnesium lysinate glycinate chelate) to help with sleep, but the tablets r too huge for me to swallow, n when I tried to crush them n mix with water, the taste was so horrible I vomited

Does anyone else feel guilty they’re in pain?
Oh man. So my dog Lexi is wonderful and I adore her. I wouldn’t change her for the world. And I know we’re all still getting used to me being in this much pain. But she just stepped on my foot which is really sensitive and I wasn’t paying attention. I pretty much yelped and that made her jump a mile

Fortification of flour is a public health policy known to reduce neural tube defects in babies
Note: As written, no mention of B12. I know I have previously seen the concept of fortifying with folic acid possibly being a problem in those who are B12 deficient being dismissed. [i]Folic acid is to be added to the most commonly consumed flours in the UK to help prevent spinal conditions in babies

Magnesium supplements. One type or a mixture of types?
I have been taking Magnesium Glycinate for quite a while. I do suffer with bouts of rushing to the toilet sometimes after the mid-day meal, but I have had my gall bladder removed so have always put it down to that. I have just seen an advert that recommends taking a mixture of Magnesium to help stop

Neuropathy treatments
Unfortunately as we all know, good treatment for neuropathy is generally poor. I've tried as most people have everything. The only way I control my feet neuropathy is plenty of walking icing and messaging with deep heat before bed. The only medication I take is ibuprofen - one table 400mg give me 50%

Gabapentin not working as yet
Hi Ive been on gabapentin for 5 weeks now. I previously posted saying my doctor had prescribed 100mgs 3 times daily. I was advised on forum as I thought, that this dose was useless, and I'd be better taking at night and upping dose gradually. So I'm now to to 900mgs at night but still not seeing

Cooler mornings and numbness go hand in hand?
I was wondering if anyone else suffers with numbness in their hands as the temperature drops towards the last days of summer, and we begin into autumn? I suffer with neuropathy, but also get a B12 injection every 3 months, I never have had any formal diagnosis why I get the injections, but I have had

Foot Neuropathy after Docetaxel.
Happy Labor Day Weekend PC Warriors: First, I want to thank all of you for your wonderful input and encouragement during my 5 sessions of Docetaxel. I survived, my PSA for the last 3 months has come down to 0.2 from 15.5. Exercising like crazy to try to get my strength back and it seems to be working

Strange leg pain
Last night when I was in bed, I rolled over and suddenly felt an ache down the outside of my left calf. It felt the way you do when you have overworked a muscle. I was going to get up to get some magnesium spray downstairs, but when I began to walk I felt incredible pain--the kind you feel when a muscle

Sodium Butyrate: Conflicting Studies
So I read one study from 2021 that said Sodium Butyrate was good for PD, lowered inflammation, and improved symptoms and then read another from 2020 that said Sodium Butyrate increases inflammation and makes PD symptoms worse. I have e-mailed both teams for an explanation. I put the abstracts side by
