Cooler mornings and numbness go hand in hand?

I was wondering if anyone else suffers with numbness in their hands as the temperature drops towards the last days of summer, and we begin into autumn? I suffer with neuropathy, but also get a B12 injection every 3 months, I never have had any formal diagnosis why I get the injections, but I have had major stomach problems in the past, but obviously the first blood tests many years ago must have shown a deficiency, occasionally I have to take folic acid tablets, but that's a lottery in itself, as you have to ask for a blood test, towards the end of the 3 monthly period I notice my muscles start to twitch, and my eyelids flicker more, and often feel like my heart is running out of sync, but my doctor isn't interested!!! I'd rather be on a 2 monthly cycle, as I think I'm running on fumes before my injection is due,it just seems oh so trying just to even explain this but, I honestly believe that the medical profession have got their fingers in their ears on this subject, they only see numbers in front of the screen, but not the TALKING PATIENT, sorry for my little moan, hope everyone is doing well, take care all of you. Thanks

Ask your GP to check the BNF as there was a change a couple of years ago to change the frequency of maintenance B12 injections without neurological symptoms to 2-3 months. I might also help to present a diary showing when symptoms return. If you have neurological symptoms the frequency is two months. Suggest you do this by writing to your GP with a copy to the practice administrator.

If this doesn't work then there are other options including use of high dose oral (though that doesn't work for everyone.

Have you tried supplementing with a supermarket folate supplement - not as large as the dose used to treat a deficiency but it might be enough to help with preventing one.
