Fibroscan and endoscopy
I have
NASH
cirrhosis. I had a Fibroscan and it was 24. I then had endoscopy which showed very small varices that compressed out. I had these tests to see if I qualified for a clinical trial in USA. Because of the small varies I don’t qualify. I feel fine.

In Memorium - What do you do after the death of your future self?
o As a society we don't understand the essential facts of liver diseases like NAFLD and
NASH
. o The lack of a general awareness of disease greatly amplifies the fear associated with it.

Alcohol
I have
NASH
and I do not drink, actually never have except for special occasion. Reading some info saying it's ok to have a glass of red wine because it's good for liver. I truly do not know what to believe as so much info out there and I know alcohol is poison to an already not healthy liver.

Some more advice please?
I am a 61+y old female, and I have cirrhosis from
NASH
. I had bleeding varices 3m ago (over the New Year) and spent 4 days in hospital. When they did an endoscopy, they couldn't tell which of the 3 varices had been bleeding, so they didn't band any of them.

Why unexplained weight loss?
Dear all, Why do multiple sources say that
Nash
causes unexplained weight loss? I don't understand why the body would do this?

Any talk on mgl-3196 and vk2809?
Two of the most promising
nash
drugs in development that have the same mechanism of action. Seems to be the promising drugs for reducing fat in the liver. Also significant lower of lipids (Apo-B, trigylcerides, LDL, etc). Mgl-3196 about to begin Phase 3 study and vk2809 phase 2-b.

B-6, Methyl Folate and B-12
I know it's been written before, yet I'm still confused. Vitamin B-6 has to be taken a few hours after Levodopa, RIGHT? Even though he is on Levodopa/Carbidopa, I still hold to that "rule". Methyl Folate, B-9, is it safe or no? Vitamin B-12, I have heard a negative about it. He takes this daily at 1
