Stage 4 bedsore icu
My husband is 59 diabetes,
Nash
of the liver, sarcoidosis, just got home from hospital after almost 4 months almost 2 on ventilator. This will be slowing his mobility cause they want him to stay off of it. We're doing our best especially with high protein diet.

How long does it take for NASH fibrosis to progress?
Hi there, I've seen so much conflicting information on the internet about how long it takes
NASH
to progress from stage to stage. Some studies seem to say each stage takes 7 or more years, others seem to say it's possible to progress very rapidly within 2 years or so. Is there any consensus?

La Roche’s Prasinezumab (“Passadena”) Trial (BN42358)
Diagnosed with PD two years ago at the age of 48, I guess I’m one of the lucky few to be selected for Roche’s Prasinezumab trial, due to begin this fall. Since my diagnosis, I don’t feel that my symptoms have gotten worse and I’m still able to keep the diagnosis to my inner circle (symptoms: slower

Liver Biopsy Update
The histological appearance may suggest cirrhosis consisting of chronic hepatitis of undetermined origin (
NASH
? hepatitis of other origin?). To be correlated with clinical and biological data. Maybe it's a coincidence but since the biopsy, my chronic daily symptoms have gotten a lot worse.

Reversing NASH/Fibrosis
I have recently been diagnosed with
NASH
and F2 fibrosis. Bit of background. Bloods about 5 years ago or so showed raised ALT. Had an echo which showed a bright liver. GP said it was NAFLD but that it wasn't serious.

Blood Liver Enzymes?
If one has NAFLD or

wouldn’t it show up first in elevated liver enzymes?

Early data from the NAFLD/NASH Care Survey. Do you see yourself here?
This is a sample of the early data from the survey. If you haven't done your part yet to help us explain the challenges faced by patients, please go ahead and take the survey. I know it is a pain to do but we are trying to educate others about the things we face as patients with liver disease. https

CHAPTER 6.THE SEARCH FOR HOPE "OUTSIDE" THE BUBBLE: OTHER NEUROLOGISTS, OTHER MEDICINES, OTHER DISEASES...
Explanation: I would like to share this chapter with all of you. Because of a worsening in my mother's health, I don't know when I will be able to resume the English translation of my book on curing Parkinson's. I will be sharing some chapters in this extraordinary forum. I have to stop my investigation

News that worried us and studies that gave us hope (04/2022).
This is the information that gave us hope while my father was alive and has given hope to many since then (March 2012). 1. News that worried us. In the coming decades the number of Parkinson's disease patients is feared to increase very worryingly, to double by 2030 (Dorsey 2007) and even to triple

Probiotics and NASH/NAFLD
Has anyone experienced health benefits of over-the-counter probiotics for cirrhosis? Like some other information, for every study that finds there are benefits there’s an equal number advising not the take them because they can induce additional fatty liver complications.

NASH
I suffer, the best advice I can offer is meditation, its non invasive & the mindfulness version can be FOC on NHS. I also have taken the ™ course which I use. Not a cure but with perseverance a great help.

Dehydroascorbic acid: Could orange juice oxidised in the fridge overnight be an important weapon against Parkinson's?
Dehydroascorbic acid is the oxidised and reversible form of ascorbic acid or vitamin C. It can protect the brain and reduce stroke mortality, due to its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, whereas vitamin C or ascorbic acid cannot easily do so. In one study it was proposed as a possible treatment
