A lot of firms are finally starting to care about liver disease. This is a request for men to be interviewed by phone, pays $100
If you are a Male patient with
NASH
/NAFLD, we would love to hear from you. Daniel is partnered with a Healthcare Consulting Company wishing to better understand the patient perspective & journey of receiving treatment. We would like to speak with approximately ~5-10 patients for 1 hour.

An Answer I Didn't Want - PVFS - Final Diagnosis?
It's been quite a while since I've been active here, and my health has been up and down. But for the sake of the community, I figured I should share what I've learned. My hypothyroidism appears to be both primary and secondary, TPO-Ab borderline but definitely positive, yet fluctuating function not explained

Chronic pain in upper R quadrant
I have talked to at least a dozen people who all have various stages of
NASH
or cirrhosis originating from fatty liver. 10 out of 12 have gone through a similar experience as mine.

How much protein should I have?
In addition to being diagnosed with
NASH
between stage 3 and 4 but compensating well, diabetes, and obesity I have now developed Gastroparesis and am on a liquid diet. I have been living on protein shakes that are milk based due to the fact that I can’t do soy.

NASH stage 3-4, diabetic and now I have Gastroparesis
On top of everything I now have Gastroparesis and can only have liquids. My liver has been really sore lately and I don’t know if it is worse due to living on protein shakes. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can eat other than protein shakes? I have reached out to two different dietitians but

with advanced fibrosis. He also ordered a buttload of labs. After 3 weeks he finally called and determined by the blood results that I am early stage 4. I have done a ton of research but I am still unsure, does anyone know if this "stage 4" is technically Cirrhosis?

Here it’s known as fatty liver disease or non alcoholic steatohepatitis (
NASH
). How do we get
NASH
? It all comes down to what we eat. Foods are broken down in the stomach and small intestine for easier absorption. Proteins are broken into amino acids. Fats are broken into fatty acids.

I've been telling everyone to limit fructose for years, this study is useful. You will be healthier if you dump sugar
The medication, an inhibitor of the fructokinase enzyme, could reverse or prevent the progression of the liver disease nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, known as
NASH
, and perhaps even treat diabetes, according to the company.

Fibroscan and endoscopy
I have
NASH
cirrhosis. I had a Fibroscan and it was 24. I then had endoscopy which showed very small varices that compressed out. I had these tests to see if I qualified for a clinical trial in USA. Because of the small varies I don’t qualify. I feel fine.

In Memorium - What do you do after the death of your future self?
o As a society we don't understand the essential facts of liver diseases like NAFLD and
NASH
. o The lack of a general awareness of disease greatly amplifies the fear associated with it.

Alcohol
I have
NASH
and I do not drink, actually never have except for special occasion. Reading some info saying it's ok to have a glass of red wine because it's good for liver. I truly do not know what to believe as so much info out there and I know alcohol is poison to an already not healthy liver.
