Immunosuppressants and Medical Marijuana
We will of course ask our nephrologist about it, but what are you hearing about use of medical marijuana in conjunction with the host of post-transplant drugs (
mycophenolate
/mycophenolic; tacrolimis/ prednisone; carvedilol)?

mycophenolate
mofetil), and nine were on third-line medications (rituximab, belimumab).

I think I might need a second opinion regarding my Behçet’s diagnosis & management. What do you think?
She told me to come off the azathioprine treatment completely, and that I should instead start treatment on
mycophenolate
(another DMARD), saying that it will eventually be exactly the same as azathioprine but without the side effects & risks.

Methotrexate and Mycophenolate together?
I’ve been on
Mycophenolate
for over a decade but in recent years it’s less effective and I am trying to find a way to better manage my lupus.

Any one else.
Has anyone else been on
mycophenolate
mofitil and had a really bad acid upset stomach. This did not start at the beginning of treatment but has come on slowly. Does anyone else have bad constipation on the combination of urso,
mycophenolate
and budesonide.

to little effect was added and this was increased by 50% for the last 6wks. I am still needing regular large courses of steroids to control things. Specialist now talking of adding rituxumab.

Skin problems
I am on the usual meds like prednisolone and 2.5grams of
mycophenolate
amongst a host of others! My problem at the moment is I’m getting loads of skin tags and warts. I mean hundreds of them. They are around my eyes and on my chest mainly.

Methotrexate and Blood tests?
I’m currently trialing methotrexate as an alternative to
mycophenolate
(which I have taken for years but has stopped being effective in managing my lupus.) My bloods, which are normally very normal (even lupus is often seronegative), are starting to show up out of range on a few measures.

Pain and stiffness - menopause or something else?
I was put on pred,
mycophenolate
and alendronic acid for 2 years in 2008 after several strokes and many tests which concluded in a diagnosis of primary (cerebral) vasculitis. I recovered exceptionally well and still take blood thinners now.

Pain tolerable or 100% relief?
I didn’t tolerate MTX and although on
Mycophenolate
I’m not convinced that it helps. Best wishes to you all.

Mycophenolate mental side effects
I've been back on
Mycophenolate
for around six months now and am beginning to suspect that it's causing insomnia and a bad feeling of agitation/stress that is quite difficult to cope with.
