Good Cholesterol Vs Bad Cholesterol and Factor involved in It
For a long time cholesterol in totality was seen as a bad thing for your body although the truth was a little more complicated than that. Cholesterol primarily is divided into two types, one of which can be categorized as bad cholesterol and the other as good cholesterol. Let's have an in-depth look

Research on Carb Restriction for Diabetes-Are Low-Carb Diets Always Best for Diabetes?
Low-carb diets have consistently been shown to lower blood sugar and improve other health markers in people with diabetes. However, certain higher-carb diets have also been credited with similar beneficial health effects. For example, some studies on low-fat vegan and vegetarian diets suggest that

31 with PMR & Type 1 Diabetes
Hi I'm 31 and recently diagnosed with PMR by my GP. My symptoms were excruciating pain in shoulders and general stiffness everywhere to the point I could hardly get out of bed. My symptoms came on over the course of a few weeks and just got worse and worse. I'm waiting for an appointment with a Rheumatologist

Confused and worried
Hi. I have had type 2 diabetes for 17 years. Had HA1C at 4-5 for all those years. On two meformin. My weight increased and my diabetes has gone off the scale. Now 7.8 and daily sometimes 19 after breakfast. I'm on a strict no carb now for three days. The last BS check is at 6 - great. Before it was 14

I SHOULD HAVE BEEN A NUN!!!!
I am very confused. I have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes eleven months ago. Since then, I have heard a lot of conflicting advice. Lots of carbs vs. no carbs at all. Plenty of exercise vs. lots and lots of green tea ( to lose weight) & minimal exercise. Now, i just read a man was saying : no fruits

Overweight? Diabetic or pre-diabetic?
I used to read Jason Fung's blog religiously, but somehow I dropped off his mailing list and missed the fact that he wrote a book. 'The Obesity Code' is the most coherent and readable explanation of the mechanisms by which we gain weight, and in some cases develop Type 2 Diabetes I have come across.

Your Suggestions Please
If you had to make only two recommendations based exclusively on your experience as a T2D then what would that be for the following profile where the goal is to achieve HbA1c below 5.6 (current 6.0) on a sustainable long term basis. PP levels behave great (1/2hr 135/115). Random closer to 100. Fasting
