The last time I saw my Asthma Consultant, he suggested that I do a Sleep test, So I did the first test and got a letter from the hospital telling me that I had to go and pick up a CPAP machine, then I got a letter from a Consultant who I never met telling me I have Sleep Apnea. So I went and picked

Any help is appreciated - High anxiety
For some reason I am constantly thinking that I am going to die. When I really think about it I can't reason it. The thought seems so strange. I constantly feel my heart skip a beat/palpitations. Just yesterday I felt a sharp pain in my left shoulder blade/back. It really caught me off guard and I instantly

Does anyone have any info on endometriosis and peri menopause/menopause?
I am currently peri menopausal and I’m experiencing symptoms in relation to the lowering of oestrogen. I have not had a period for a year, I’ve had dry eyes, hair loss, forgetfulness, mind fog, emotional and low mood. My GP recommend St Johns Wort and isoflavon herbal supplements, which I’ve been on

Question re: Sleeping meds for insomnia?
Hi: I just moved from Boston to California and my new primary is a PA who at my 2nd visit in 2 weeks (very taxing, a bit overkill & ? Insurance abuse) - typically I saw my old primary once a year=wellness, flushot etc! Anyhow original cancer was in 2010–hate opioids so I’ve dealt with post surgical pain

Camping with panic attacks
It's about 68 degrees with a cool breeze. I'm supposed to be camping. I told my friends I'd meet them at this spot that's an hour and a half away. Kids are looking forward and so is my wife. I was going to white knuckle it and just go. All it took was my wife saying " We're not going to get there until

Anyone here have obstructive sleep apnea too?
I have OSA along with my RLS. Since sleeping with a CPAP machine hooked up to my face is already difficult, adding worsening RLS to the mix has left me exhausted. Just wondering if any of you struggle with both conditions? My Dad had both conditions.....in his day there was no CPAP machine, and I

Advice needed
Iv had to come off Prozac made me feel so ill. I just have 10mg if Amitriptyline at night. A friend of mine has had good results with St. John’s wort. Does anyone know if it’s safe to take during the day. With me having the other tablet at night. I know there’s certain things that don’t mix with St.

Trying to get used to Cpap mask
Hi, I’m mainly on the thyroid page of health unlocked but I saw someone had mentioned sleep apnoea and this site so I strolled over. I also suffer from polymyalgia which is inflammation of the muscles and am on pain patches and co-codamol, unfortunately the patches fall off in hot weather and co-codamol

Struggle to use CPAP
I struggled with poor sleep all my life, but am also a loud snorer. Many mornings I was convinced that I’d had zero sleep, but would be told I’d been snoring all night. Wife often moved to another room & even kids complaining from their rooms. So I went to the doc & had several overnight sleep studies

Supplements intake during Salvage Radiation Therapy, what to stop?
I will start my SRT (prostate bed only) after RRP surgery (09/2017/ G score 9 {4+5} no EC extension), (last PSA was 0.11 ng), next week and really confused about the followings: 1) What to eat? apparently, no fibers, no whole wheat bread, avoid anything that can cause gases/diarrhea/loose stool? Flecainide - from PIP to 2x100/day now want to get off of it
Hi everyone, My first post on here. I'm reaching out because I've had some issues with Flecainide that my doctors don't acknowledge and I know I'm not crazy. I've had PAF for 30 years. Would have an event maybe once a year or slightly more. Then I gained weight and got severe obstructive sleep apnea

Restless legs keeps coming back
My mum has suffered from rls since about 8 years, she's been on many medications and all will work for a while. Recently she was diagnosed with sleep apnea and was using cpap which made all her rls symptoms go away however after 2 months it has returned really bad. I took her to the gp and he has prescribed

Sources for Masks?
I'm not sure this type of post should be made...moderators, feel free to delete, close or let me know if that's the case. I'm wondering if there are 'aftermarket' sources for CPAP masks. I'm guessing not. All sources I am finding online have what appears to be a vendor locked down price (ie. $154.00)

CPAP and Inhalers
I have found that I need to use my Fostair Nexthaler just before I go to bed for the CPAP machine to function properly. I prefer to use the inhaler with my evening meal but this means that the CPAP machine misbehaves at night and tries to float me up to the ceiling. It seems I need to use a inhaler
