The last time I saw my Asthma Consultant, he suggested that I do a Sleep test, So I did the first test and got a letter from the hospital telling me that I had to go and pick up a CPAP machine, then I got a letter from a Consultant who I never met telling me I have Sleep Apnea. So I went and picked up the machine and now I am half way through the week, I have had five nights with it, it took a while to get used to it and then last night I ate something that upset me and I was up from 05.00am. Miserable and feeling sorry for myself. because I had an appointment with my GP Saturday morning for a string of complaints I have, after all the checks BP,pulse, chest, ears, temperature, it turned out that all my problems were as he put it,just side effects of the different tables I need to take for all the problems I have. I suppose I should be grateful that everyone is on the ball. I have had asthma since I was four, I shall be 75 in October.

I have had asthma all my life. I'm 42 now and was diagnosed with severe sleep apnoea last year. I have had a CPAP machine for over a year now. I do struggle with it because I don't like masks. I think I am finally getting used to it now. But when my cough is bad, I struggle with it. But when I am well, I think it does help. I hope it's helping you too.
