Can anyone Offer Solutions To This
I tried cola, kiwis, linseed,
movicol
, bisocodyl, and various laxatives and self help regimes. It feels like there is gravel in my rectum yet it is in no rush to come out. Any ideas gratefully received. Regards Dev

Withholding poo!
She has been on and off various medications to help with this, however has recently been changed from Lactulose back to
Movicol
as the Lactulose has become completely ineffective.

Should we wait till the holidays before starting 2 weeks of Movicol?
GP has finally prescribed 2 weeks of
Movicol
, one sachet/day, though pack says 1-4 to produce soft stools. He has them, we just want to rule out constipation! With only 3 weeks/6 days of school left for him, should we leave it until the holidays or get on with it?

How to tell if overflow diarrhoea or not?
She’s currently taking
movicol
twice a week, and with this is passing fairly soft small poos, about 4 time’s a day. She tends to do these little poos every 20 minutes over an hour or so. I think they’re type 4-5 on the Bristol stool chart.

Disimpaction
Day 4 disimpacting, 6 sachets of
Movicol
for a (just turned) 5 year old. Very sludgy, dark smelly poo, is this where we should be by now?

Any ideas/help
I've had him backwards and forwards to the doctors who keep prescribing
movicol
which doesn't really make much difference. I've already found that eggs, cheese and cow's milk make him worse so have completely cut them from his diet, but it's heartbreaking watching him screaming to go.

worsening overflow soiling- what to do?
My 6 year old son has been on
Movicol
for over 2 years now following a bout of constipation which we initially thought was diarrhoea, until realising it was over flow soiling. Early on, the control of the soiling was reasonable (taking 1 sachet a day).

Anybody else use suppositories to clear bowels?
I feel like my stools just don't budge - currently taking
movicol
to soften. also when they pass a certain area, right hand lower side, I get like nerve like pain which then radiates up the back. I also then need to use suppository to help me go. When I do go, it's fairly normal.

Peadactric appointment
Shes been on
movicol
for years. I got the refferal letter through for an appointment for the beginning of next month. I was just curious what to expect from this and if anyone else has been through simlar or seen the gastro team.

Does this sounds like IBS or IBD?

Problems with poo since birth...
Since then he has been on lactulose, senna,
movicol
and we’ve been given picosulfate to use once a week if he hasn’t been. His tummy has always been distended and last year he was put to sleep to be emptied out. He’s been given enemas at his consultant appointments too.

Mixed emotions
So he told me to have a healthy diet and put me on permanent
Movicol
long term, as my bowel wasn't great and he said it may ease my symptoms.

Laxido - movicol
A short quick question, Is
Movicol
and laxido peadatrician exactly the same. Or possibly slightly different. My daughter's been on
movicol
for years no issue. There was a manufacturing problem so she had to change onto laxido. Since then she's had awful stomachs cramps/ possible wind.

The docs have prescribed
movicol
but he has never done a hard poo in his life, he has a really healthy high fibre diet already.
