Anybody else use suppositories to clear bowels?

Hi all,

I've recently distinguished between severe pain (just before, during and after period and during fertility window) and the most discomfort, clogged up constipation feeling.

I feel like my stools just don't budge - currently taking movicol to soften. also when they pass a certain area, right hand lower side, I get like nerve like pain which then radiates up the back.

I also then need to use suppository to help me go. When I do go, it's fairly normal. I have recently just had a faecal stool test, but i've had it before and it's come back normal.

Anyone that gets the same issue? Any advice?

My MRI pelvic with dye scan came back normal, no convincing evidence of bowel endo. though not sure if it would detect organs stuck to each other or any obstruction.

Getting it every day, taking Laxido. When I try to leave it out one day, it’s worse the following.

Sorry I can’t give any specific advice, I'm still working out what’s best. I know the less I eat the easier it is, 🤣, but that doesn’t solve the issue.

It is beyond frustrating that life has ended up a daily struggle. I've been through the mill, I got a coeliac test and that came back negative but not sure how accurate it is. Do you get the same pain? Weirdly I just seem to wake up with it, but then food and drink exacerbates it.

Was awaiting a lap and a colonoscopy prior to lock down. My pelvic mri showed no deep endo. I just dont know anymore

Had coeliac test few weeks ago, came back ok as well.

I’ve got something there continuously, anything by mouth aggravates and get bloating and pressure as well.

Other pain sort of moves around abdomen and pelvis.

It is crazy, and very frustrating. MRI Monday to see what’s happening, they had a cancellation.

Waiting on test result from gastro.

It’s a good thing no deep endo though, one thing to rule out. Have you had urine checked for UTI?

No I have not. I will ask for it. I do find it difficult at times to clear and when I go for a wee.but would.that affect my bowels too? Also wee almost every hour.

I have a very hard area around my c section scar. And likewise anything aggravates the tum.

Not sure about effecting bowels, but can cause pain. Frequency can be a sign, been through that and not sure if infection or endo these days 😂.

If you aren’t sure worth checking with GP.

Yes totally overlooked this all this time and hope it's not done any damage if it is. I used to frequently get UTIs during pregnancy.
