Modafinil

my doctor just ordered me some modafinil. Does anyone on this form? Have any thoughts about it?

It got approved by my insurance, just in case anyone else needs to go through this process. The record shows that they had to first talk with my doctor to see why I needed it. Between the MS fatigue and the blood clot medication fatigue I obviously need it. What a relief. Love to all, Kelly

Just got a prescription for 100mg of modafinil/day and after a week, if there is any change it has been for the worse. To those who have benefitted from this medicine, did it take more than a week to show improvement?

Modafinil (Provigil)

I think modafinil has helped me get through low thyroid. There did not seem to be much on the web about modafinil and thyroid. A post on reddit I think, says it used to be prescribed to support thyroid in US but was reduced/stopped as medical insurances would not cover anymore.

Also has anyone used Modafinil with any luck in helping energy and mood?

]CURRENT: Doc lowered me anyways, and after 9 weeks on 137.5mcg - TSH 6.39 / FT4 12 (9-19) / FT3 4.4 (2.6-5.8)[/u] - She put me right back to 150mcg, with agreed on goal of TSH below 2 (waiting 3 months or so each blood work) - still experiencing awful fatigue and brain fog, so she prescribed [u]MODAFINIL

My doctor has prescribed Modafinil 100mg Tablets for my ADD, replacing my Adderal. Has anyone tried this? I assume she is changing it because of the intense fatigue I experience due to long haul COVID. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has used it or knows anything about it.

I started taking Modafinil 6 months ago and it actually works. I feel that those 2 words are about to potentially turn my life around in some ways. I got called by my GP today to have a blood pressure test and an ECG. My boss has asked if I can still drive.

Can people with Hashimotos thyroid condition safely take Modafinil safely?

It feels like I’m energized/caffeinated, somewhat like taking Modafinil, if you’ve ever taken that. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I want to try to move to Modafinil with atomoxetine. I'll spare you the explanation why. But don't want to try to take high doses of those to make up for the Adderall Crash.
