How much patience with modafinil?

I'm among the many struggling with extreme fatigue. Just got a prescription for 100mg of modafinil/day and after a week, if there is any change it has been for the worse.

To those who have benefitted from this medicine, did it take more than a week to show improvement?

I too have been contending with the fatigue problem. I do not drink coffee or tea. I'm finding that 100 mg caffeine tablets a few times a day seems to work.
