What to expect after successful operation to remove endometriosis?
They also replaced the
mirena
coil. I couldn’t stop crying with relief yesterday, but I’m also aware of how it can grow back. Would anyone be happy to share their experiences of what happened to them after a successful op? I just want to have realistic expectations and know what to look out for

Don't normally post but feeling abit sorry for myself today and in so much pain and like I am the only one who goes through this.
Dr did attempt to fit me a
mirena
coil but I couldn't stand the speculum at all and so uncomfortable down there. I am currently waiting to have a diagnostic laparoscopy as they suspect I have endometriosis. I am in awful pain and just feel like I am the only one going through this.

Update: Morbid obesity, PCOS, weight regain and more… 🥴
I had a
Mirena
coil inserted to help with the issue, as birth control pills wouldn't work for me due to my weight. During that procedure, I had a hysteroscopy. They said the cells in my endometrial lining grow irregularly, and that I'm at high risk of cancer.

Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy with Mirena coil
I'm also meant to be having a
Mirena
coil put in at the same time, and I wanted to know any of your experiences about having this?? I'm really unsure about having it and don't know what to do. I would much appreciate any info! Thank you :) Hope you're all taking care still. X

How long did Mirena take to settle?
Hi I had a video call with my gynaecologist today because I feel like I’m not getting on with the
Mirena
. I am spotting a bit, pain in lower stomach and back and just feeling very emotional! He suggested I need to give it 6 months as it takes a while to settle.

Did my first day, feel good
Just turned 50, have suffered from arthritis for 18 years, but since having marina coil removed and stopping meds have not had any flare ups in my knees so I am going to get strong and fit!!

Urine infection??
I have the
mirena
coil fitted since February and haven’t had any periods or bleeding with it. Just feel like it’s a constant waiting game just to find something out and I thought all this pain would go away after surgery but it hasn’t.

Another Mirena question... Looking for reasurrance 🙄
Surgery planned for this thursday, notes issue sorted and no cancellation letter yet 🤞 Some of you know that I didn't get on too well with the
mirena
coil - fitted in January and then had a partial expulsion - removed 13th May.

Sigmoidoscopy and endometriosis
It was extremely painful and they didn't find anything concerning, however, the last 2 days I've been in agony and have started my period (which I haven't had since December due to my surgery and the
mirena
). It must be linked somehow?

Did your period stop with the Mirena coil?
I've had mine for nearly 7 months and while it has certainly helped with my excessively heavy periods, it hasn't stopped them. I'm disappointed as I don't see any point in feeling rubbish every month, and am still hopeful they'll stop altogether. Does it normally take a bit longer than this?

Hair loss from medication! HELP
I'm due for my second lap soon and to have the
mirena
put in then and I'm worried that'll make my hair situation worse. Is there any products out there that will help my hair grow back that actually work?? Please let me know if anyone had had any success. Thanks xx

Help or advice on monthly sickness
I was diagnosed when I had surgery in December when they put in the
mirena
coil and while my abdominal pain is better, every month I get at least 2/3 days where I feel so unwell and drained that I can’t get out of bed or do anything. I also have fibromyalgia and insterstitial cystitis.

Cancelled operation and discharged for Gynecologist
I have a
mirena
coil which was put in by my Gynecologist a year ago, after I was first referred - my symptoms are much improved but I still have significant pain, bloating and painful sex. I'm just not really sure what to do now?
