2 weeks post lap and Mirena insertion

Hi

I’m 2 weeks post lap and healing really really well and feel ok! The last two days I have had horrible pains ( almost period pain) and lower back pain. Is this the Mirena coil causing the pain??

Anyone have any advise on the coil ? Or what the pin could be?

Yes it’s the coil. It can take 6-9 months to settle. I’m in month 7 and it still hasn’t fully settled. I’m getting horrid cramps for 2-3 hours probably a few times a week.

The iud caused me a lot of cramping and pain the first month then it slowly started to get better. I’m hoping this thing settles some time soon lol.

Thank you. Luckily paracetamol took the pain away. Fingers crossed o don’t get too many more pains 🤞

I have a lot of medical conditions (17) so I fully think mine hasn’t settled due to a mix of things. I hope for you it settles. Typically they say usually 3 months and you won’t notice it day to day.

it's the coil. I had it taken out 3 months later when I started losing my hair and eyebrows. First sign was that hair on my legs and armpits stopped growing altogether. All went back to normal and no lower back pain/cramps x

Oh wow really!! That’s awful. You read the side effects but never expect them to actually happen to you do you 😮

Glad everything went back to normal thought.

The pains have got better but I am experiencing greasy , slightly spotty skin ( hopefully it won’t stay around)x
