Hello, has anyone tried the mirena coil and oestrogen gel to help with severe PMT and if so, how did you find it?

Thanks!

Yes, I have that combination - for mood swings (bipolar) and unexplained abdominal pain (I've had scans). The first period after the coil was extremely unpleasant. I would ask your doctor to start the oestrogen at the same time as the coil, as the coil on its own did affect my mood. After I got through the first period - which knocked me out for three days, it's been very good. Stable mood and no pain.
