Pain with a vengeance!

Hey,

Haven't written on here for a while, ill shorten my story.

October 2018 I was diagnosed with Endometriosis after having a lap done, which they then fitted a mirena coil. Took my body a fair few months to get used to it tbh, I no longer get periods and when I do they aren't blood anymore, just random colour now and again.

The pain never really stopped but to begin with the coil did help slightly, But for the last 9-10 months the pain has come back full force with a vengeance, its constant, wakes me up in the night, I go to sleep in pain and wake up in pain, I don't know whether to go back to the GP or just email my specialist directly.

I'm wondering if its spread? Or grown? Will they give me another Laporscopy? Has anyone had more than one? What was the outcome? I'm 32 now, got two boys, don't want no more kids, so if worst comes to worst and its all gotta come out I'm not to worried.. but just wondering if they will do another lap to find out.

Any help or info would be greatfully received.

Hi, I had a laparoscopy in 2011. I didn't get my coil fitted straight away as I wanted a baby. Unfortunately I split with my husband so I did get the coil fitted but it was a couple of years later. I found the coil was great and most of my symptoms calmed down apart from the odd brief knife-like pain which I could cope with. Eventually I settled down and remarried and had my coil removed in 2018. As soon as it was removed I started having symptoms again and I believe that it slowed but didn't stop the growth. Since I started my IVF my symptoms have been really exacerbated and I'm currently waiting for surgery. I've started taking the progesterone only pill to reduce my symptoms asI can't do any more IVF until the surgery is completed. While the pill is helping somewhat, as the months go by it is helping less and less. I hope some of my information here helps you.
